"Cattle agistment"

What is the going rate at the moment? For cows ready to calf. Or in general.

Am talking about Upper Hunter where we have good feed because place rested for years.

Plenty of paddock horse agistment there too.

Thanks.

I know this answer is now six-mths late, but I have fielded enquiries of between $2 and $2.50 per head irrespective of whether the head is a calf or cow at calf etc. I'm in the Tweed district in Northern Rivers. Sometimes I hear $2 per head or $3 per head of cow with calf.

Does anyone have an Agistment Contract template or similar I could view?

Regards,

Scott

Scott - hopefully System will be hanging around down here....she's down Kyogle way....and as far as I know - $3 per head with cow and calf is WAY too cheap.

No-one gives away agistment like that these days.

The last standard price I heard, was $7 - $10 per head for steers in Northern NSW. There are people paying less than that....but you get what you pay for.

Northern NSW is one of the last places on the coast that has good comeback after winter.

I'll PM System.....she can ask around for you.

Is the above prices per week or per year? (blush).

E.g. $2/week? $7-$10/yr?

Cheers,

Leo

   Bump

Never keep up with the Joneses. Drag them down to your level. It's cheaper!

It's about $5 per head per week in northern NSW.

The place looks fantastic - plenty of feed.
