"LATEST BET SELECTOR UPDATE"

   LAST

I have installed the latest Bet Selector upgrade and a summary of the new features:

1:The PPFA updates can now be implemented by using the new AUTO UPDATE PPFA. This feature is under System Analyser and requires the user to simply create a "New System" and name it AUTO UPDATE PPFA.

PLEASE NOTE THAT NO SYSTEM RULES NEED TO BE APPLIED, SIMPLY NAMING THE SYSTEM WILL SUFFICE.

After running all the PPFA functions, you simply go into Bet Selector, run System Selector, select the AUTO UPDATE PPFA and select the date range and run the test, all the PPFA adjustments will be applied. Using this latest bet selector version eliminates the need to run race tab live a second time or to manually go to the edit scratchings box and click next next through all the races.
2: Users can now download the latest "Drongo Systems" and "Neale's Systems" and these are automatically added to your systems base and user's can select via a drop down menu which set of systems you wish to run.

many thanks to Neale for implementing these new features, a great time saving addition to Bet selector for all users.

   Hi Everyone,

I'm thankful to Neale for this very helpful update. However, on running the setup utility, I find nothing has happened. The version showing in Help is dated 12th December. The setup usually goes through several steps, but in this case it stops after being told to install in the Price folder and disappears. On loading Bet Selector I don't find the new drop down selection list in the Selector.

I hadn't made the $250 contribution, but I gather this is not required so I am mystified.

As I mentioned in my email the update date is 14/1/08 so clearly your update has not taken effect.

I don't understand Neale. The updates always take effect. Is there anything I need to do to make it take effect. There are no other copies of Betsel.exe showing up on the computer. I'm not averse to paying $250. It is just that the email says, "No charge is being made for this upgrade," which presumably means that if I do pay it there is no guarantee that it will install even then.

   Hi Allen,

I have installed with no problems, make sure that you dont have BS open, that could cause your problem, the other possibilty is that if you have 2 drives, make sure that when you are installing to the correct drive as BS defaults to C: drive, failing that it may be a cache problem and re booting should assist

PS It is a "free" update as Neale mentioned

Thanks Neale.

All is fine with my update.

Some time ago there was a post suggesting a ? be added to the link
to avoid cache problems. New updates sometimes won't install as new
if you or your server has not cleared the cache completely.

If trying this, copy the the link below including the ?
directly into your browser address/search bar.

Best to save it to a folder first.

If it is an ISP caching problem you could also try:

or

   Hi Everyone,

Success. I cleared cache, history, passwords and everything else, and also a copy of the programme on D Drive - my previous C Drive which had never been wiped. No installation!

What was happening wss that while I was clicking on the options the installation utility would suddenly disappear from sight. I tried clicking faster and got further. Finally I successfully installed before the utility could disappear. Then a message appeared in the bottom corner of the screen saying that Spyware Detector was not happy. Amazing! Have installed updates many times without a hiccup, and then this one.

Many thanks to you all for trying to help me. I look forward to saving a lot of time with this update! And thanks to Neale for all those systems.

So important to keep updating the data during the day. I was pleased to scored an $8.50 winner yesterday, but my joy tempered by missing another one at $11 plus which became available only at the last minute. I could have had it! And of course, this update helps with that too.

Allen

What a wonderful jesture by Neale, I have taken until now to key in about 20 of the Drongo systems and because of time constraints did not know when I would get to complete the job. This has made it much easier, a breeze in fact.
Allen, I had a similiar problem to you but then used the first link neale provided under message 7. His additional instructions under message 8 is what fixed it for me(I think)

Now all I have to do is delete the 20 odd drongo systems I did the hard yards on under "My Systems"

   Hi Odds On
I note you say keying in the Drongo systems..Have I misinterpreted or did you know that you can cut and paste them from Forum or file with Bet Selector without keying in the system factor by factor? Just for future reference, as Neale has now shortcutted the Drongo systems.
Thanks Neale for this update. Very helpful.

Cheers
Grit

The copy/paste method only works one system at a time and only if they are in exactly the same text format as output by "View System Rules" - the Drongo systems on the forum were not in this exact format.

My thanks to Drongo for providing me his SYSTEMS.DBF file so I could provide them to you as a download exactly as they appear on his computer!

Odds On,

The copy and paste works with all BS systems that are generated using the View System Rules button. What ever the media for distributin is (someone sends you the text document or posts the rules on the forum all you have to do is copy them by highliting all the text and pressing ctrl C and then open a new system in system analyser and paste the rules using ctrl V into the big text box in the bottom corner of the View/edit rules window and then press the import above rules button. Much easier then manualy changing the values. All that I advise that you check the rules as some ssystem has issues which will see the first value in some boxes turn negative. Still much faster.

Hope this helps

   Thanks for that too Michal.
Doing a run over of Neale's tests have noticed that his Top Rated Maidens system picks more than maidens. When Win% changed to 0-0 (not in current downloaded system), becomes profitable.

Cheers

Thanks Grit for noticing the mistake. Max win% should be zero for Top Rated Maidens.
