|Fresh after the win of their record breaking colt Don Eduardo in Saturday's
Group One Australian Derby at Randwick, the Gooree Pastoral Company have purchased a colt
closely related to their latest star for $550,000.
Bidding for the striking bay colt kicked off at $350,000 and then rose in
$25,000 increments before being knocked down by auctioneer Reg Inglis to Gooree for
Like Don Eduardo, the colt was offered by Sir Patrick and
Lady Justine Hogan's Cambridge Stud.
The filly is out of the winning Ahonoora nare Abbaye, a half
sister to the brilliant stakes winners Danewin and Commands.
Abbaye is already the dam of Taimana, a Woodman filly, who
was a recent stakes winner at Flemington. Her three runners on the track to date have all
