29/05/02 Jezabeel's Half Sister Wins in New Zealand
My Delilah, the half sister to the Melbourne Cup winner Jezabeel, has broken her maiden status in good style in New Zealand this afternoon.

A filly by the New Zealand based stallion Senor Pete, My Delilah is out of Passefleur, who is already the producer of the Flemington Cup heroine.

Although Waipa in May may be a long way from fabulous Flemington in November, we all know a career must start somewhere, and for My Delilah her day came today.

My Delilah didn't have it all her own way in the Anziyan 1150. She had to pull out all stops to beat the runner-up Tinkie Winkie.

Like Jezabeel, My Delilah is trained by astute New Zealand preparer Brian Jenkins.
