19/03/02 Small Field for Million Dollar BMW Stakes
Only seven runners will contest Saturday's $1,021,930 The BMW Stakes (G1) after acceptances were taken earlier today.

Last start Group One winner Universal Prince (Justin Sheehan) will be again clashing with the consistent Sydney middle distance performer Tie the Knot (Shane Dye).

Adding more spice to the race are the Australian Cup third and fifth placegetters, Rain Gauge (Darren Beadman) and Ethereal (Scott Seamer), who have headed north from Melbourne.

The other runners are Freemason (Rod Quinn), Dress Circle (Brian York) and Sale of Century (Corey Brown).

The current NSW TAB fixed odds betting on The BMW Stakes is:

$2.25 UNIVERSAL PRINCE
$2.85 Tie the Knot
$9.00 Dress Circle, Rain Gauge
$11.00 Ethereal
$15.00 Freemason
$26.00 Sale of Century
