03/07/02 Clearly The Best Named Winner Today....
Senor Skase, who won a 1550 metre Maiden at Canterbury in Sydney today, must rank as one of Australia's best named gallopers.

Trained by Gai Waterhouse, Senor Skase with Jim Cassidy aboard proved too strong for Martino and Spire in the Giddy Up Handicap.

Senor Skase is by the leading international stallion Last Tycoon and out of the mare So and So.

The three-year-old bay gelding was bred by well known breeder and businessman Gerry Harvey in New South Wales.

Senor Skase won by a length and a quarter.
