The
Gai Waterhouse trained filly Ha Ha looks certain to start the favourite for Saturday's $1
million 3YO Classic on the Gold Coast after drawing an ideal barrier at today's draw at
Conrad Jupiters. It was a different story for
the horse widely tipped as Ha Ha's hardest challenger Magic Albert. The classy Gosford
trained youngster will jump from near the outside of the field.
Ha Ha will jump from barrier six in the $1 million race,
while Magic Albert drew 18, which will mean barrier 15 (of 16) if the three emergencies
        fail to get a run.
Only the dual Brisbane Group One winning filly Juanmo will
jump from a wider gate than Magic Albert on Saturday.
         The lightly raced Gerald
Ryan trained filly Trail of Gold came up with the inside barrier, alongside her will be
the Gordon Yorke trained Roaring Forties.
Other acceptors to draw well included Dash for Cash (3),
Emperor Star (4), Stylish Lass (5), Empire (7)and Marbine (9).
Capable performers Time Out (11) and Dutch Harry (10) both
drew toward the centre of the track, while John Hawkes' only runner in the two big races
More Than A Woman (16) fared poorly. |
