01/02/02 Adelaide Sale: Delsole's Sister Bred to Run

0201princessdelsole.jpg (17713 bytes)

If ever there was a filly in this month’s Adelaide Magic Millions Yearling Sale bred to run it must be the half sister to Delsole (pictured above) being offered by leading Kerrie based thoroughbred breeding operation Eliza Park Stud.

Not only is the filly a half sister to the brilliant Group Two winner Delsole, but she is by the king of Australia’s juvenile sires Rory’s Jester.

Rory’s Jester, a Golden Slipper winner as a two-year-old, is renowned as a star sire of early runners. With the likes of Chortle, Aragen, Racer’s Edge, Isca, Moss Rocket, Spargo, Happy Giggle, Catnipped, North Boy and Speed Week having carried his famous blood you can see why!

Princess Del Sole, the filly’s dam, was a winner of two races at 1200 metres and a mile. At stud she has been represented by four runners and impressively they are all winners.

Delsole, her star foaling to date, won the Group Two JJ Liston Stakes as well as the listed race double of the Leslie Froggatt Plate and Sir John Monash Moondah Stakes.

An ever consistent sprinter Delsole was also a placegetter in such high class races as the VicHealth Cup, VRC Sires’ Produce Stakes, Stanley Wootton Stakes and Standish Handicap.

The bay filly, an August 15 foaling, is one of eleven yearlings being sold under the Eliza Park Stud banner in Adelaide.

As an added incentive to Victoria based buyers the filly is also Super VOBIS qualified.
