07/02/02 Adelaide Sale: Sole Danehill Lot from a Stakes Winner
For only the second time the Adelaide Yearling Sale has a youngster by the champion stallion Danehill. But this year the filly is sure to be a highlight as she comes from a strong black type family.

A daughter of the Morphettville Guineas winner Cult Figure, the bay filly (pictured above) is being offered by leading Victorian based farm Collingrove Stud.

Rarely do you find a yearling in any sale that is by a world champion sire and who’s first, second and third dams are all stakes winners.

Not only is Cult Figure a stakes winner but her dam Idol Worship, who’s by Godswalk, was a winner of the Oaklands Plate as a two-year-old.

In turn Idol Worship’s dam River Dane was a Group Three winner of the Prix de Sandringham at Chantilly in France.

Closely related to the million dollar Danehill yearling sold at the Inglis Easter Yearling Sale in Sydney last year, the filly has been catalogued as lot number 259.

The filly’s full sister Gai (yes she is trained by Gai Waterhouse) has shown she possesses above average ability with a strong Warwick Farm trial win recently. A six figure yearling on the Gold Coast, Gai (the horse) is owned by Magic Millions’ owner John Singleton.

Other members of the family are the stakes winners Schubert, Livelihood, Happy Giggle, Pure of Heart, Field Hand and Prego.
