NT 2: CLASS 4 HANDICAP 1200 METRES 5 STARTERS

CONCENTO (S Burrows) jumped outwards as start effected coming into contact with OUR TANGLEFOOT (D Oakford (A)). Stewards asked trainer of FERNDALE (NZ) Mr P MOODY if he could offer any explanation for the improved performance of the gelding. Mr MOODY stated that he believed that the opposition was not as strong as the gelding had been racing against but could offer no other explanation. Explanations noted by Stewards. OUR TANGLEFOOT returned to the enclosure bleeding from one nostril. OUR TANGLEFOOT was deemed not to be a bleeder under ARR53A.

1ST FERNDALE (NZ). 2ND CONCENTO. 3RD OUT TANGLEFOOT.

NT 4: CLASS D HANDICAP 1200 METRES 8 STARTERS

WOUNDS (G Lefoe) shifted inwards at about the 50 metre mark brushing with CRYSTAL SHINE (B Cornell).

1ST WHIP AROUND. 2ND TIEPOLO (NZ). 3RD WOUNDS.

NT 6: CLASS 5 HANDICAP 1100 METRES 7 STARTERS

PRINCE DUBAI (D Oakford (A)) had difficulty maintaining the speed in the early stages of the race.

1ST FOREVER JUDE. 2ND EL CARTERO. 3RD ROCKHOUND.

NT 8: MAIDEN HANDICAP 1100 METRES 8 STARTERS

CENTRE MUSIC (T Huish) jumped in the air as start effected. KARESHIM (D Oakford (A)) raced greenly throughout the race. Apprentice D FOSTER rider of RACING ACES accidentally dropped his whip just prior to the Winning Post.

1ST AL TAYAR. 2ND RACING ACES. 3RD CENTRE MUSIC.

NT 9: CLASS 2 HANDICAP 1100 METRES 6 STARTERS

Jockey B HUPPATZ rider of KUCITE had to stop riding and straighten his mount just prior to the Winning Post. COPPER’S EDGE (G Lefoe) shifted outwards badly in the last 75 metres of the race. Jockey G LEFOE rider of COPPER’S EDGE stated to Stewards that the gelding had resented the whip on the left hand side.

1ST KUCITE. 2ND STORMY BAY. 3RD KOTARA.

NT 10: OPEN HANDICAP 1100 METRES 11 STARTERS

MR. CENTREFOLD (G Lefoe) had difficulty obtaining a clear run in the last 100 metres of the race.

1ST SENDWIN. 2ND ST. MILLI. 3RD JEST IN TIME.

All winners were swabbed.

FINE

Trainer N Connor was fined the sum of $50 under ARR140A – Incorrect Gear – CRYSTAL SHINE

GENERAL

All jockeys riding at this meeting were required to undergo a breath analysis.

Jockey M Cornell was stood down from riding until he produces results from a full medical examination.
