NT 1: CLASS 2 HANDICAP 1200M 7 STARTERS

CENTRE STORM (T Huish) jumped outwards as start effected coming into contact with REGENCY OF MARAIS (Ms H Gower). KOTARA (G Lefoe) shifted around in the last 100M of the race. On returning to the Enclosure it was observed that REGENCY OF MARAIS had cast an offside front plate.

NT 2: CLASS 5 HANDICAP 1400M 7 STARTERS

OUR TANGLEFOOT (T Gillett) was slow to begin.

1ST KUCITE 2ND EL CARTERO 3RD OUR POWERBALL

NT 3: 3YO CLASS 2 HANDICAP 1000M 8 STARTERS

A protest was lodged by B HUPPATZ rider of AL TAYAR against BORDER (J Hallam (A)) being declared the winner for alleged interference just after the start. After taking evidence from the riders and connections and viewing the video Stewards dismissed the protest. Subsequent to the race it was established that AL TAYAR (B Huppatz) had shifted outwards and BORDER (J Hallam (A)) had shifted inwards resulting in SARASON’S GIRL (D Oakford (A)) being hampered. Stewards considered that the protest lodged by B HUPPATZ rider of AL TAYAR was bordering on being frivolous.

NT 4: CLASS D HANDICAP 1100M 8 STARTERS

BURRAN (J Hallam (A)) had difficulty in obtaining a clear run in the final stages of the race. ARMWAY (D Turner (A)) raced wide throughout the race.

1ST MISS SHORE 2ND BURRAN 3RD WHIP AROUND

NT 5: OPEN HANDICAP 1400M 12 STARTERS

EIRE JESTER was restless in the barrier prior to the start dislodging jockey S BURROWS. Apprentice Ms D LOCKWOOD reported to Stewards that her mount DANAPAC had hung out throughout the race.

1ST RICH SKY (NZ) 2ND MR. CENTREFOLD 3RD PRINCE DUBAI

All winners were swabbed.

GENERAL

Jockey T NORTON was fined the sum of $50 under ARR8e – Late into mounting yard.

Trainer K ROGERSON was fined the sum of $50 under NT113 – Presenting COPPER’S EDGE with blinkers when the horse is not approved to wear that gear. 16.3.02.
