 RACE 1:
        AGM CLASS D HANDICAP 1200M 6 STARTERS  RIGHT ACE (G Chambers) and SHORTAZ (D
        Turner (A)) were slow away. Jockey G LEFOE, rider of STIRLING LAKE was questioned over his
        riding instructions and as to why his mount had gotten so far back. Jockey G LEFOE stated
        that STIRLING LAKE had no speed early and is looking for more ground. Jockey G LEFOE was
        told his explanation would be noted, however Stewards advised that in future to ride in a
        manner which was not open for query. 1ST FLICKERING KEN 2ND
        HES TOUGH ENOUGH 3RD STIRLING LAKE RACE 2: PIONEER PARKS AFL GRAND
        FINAL CLASS 3 HANDICAP 1200M 9 STARTERS BAYMONDE (D Oakford (A)) was slow away.
        WELL OFF (G Lefoe) jumped awkwardly bumping SWITCHBY (B Cornell). Approaching 600M Jockey
        G CHAMBERS had to ease her mount slightly wen tightened for room in between runners. 1ST ACHTUNG MAYBE 2ND
        CENTRE EDITION 3RD WELL OFF RACE 3: HORSE OF THE YEAR CLASS 6
        HANDICAP 1100M 9 STARTERS YELLOW CARD (B Cornell) had to be checked
        shortly after jumping due to CANTABILE (B Huppatz) jumping awkwardly. 1ST GOLD ACTION 2ND
        ASSIFF 3RD JEST IN TIME RACE 4: YOUNG GUNS II OPEN HANDICAP
        1100M 9 STARTERS DANGERS PRIDE (D Turner (A)) was
        fractious in the gates. Approaching 600M Jockey T NORTON had to ease his mount PALOOKA to
        avoid the heels of SUMMERSET COUNTY (B Huppatz) who was shifting in. Jockey B HUPPATZ was
        reminded of his obligations to be two lengths clear of other runners when shifting ground. 1ST PALOOKA 2ND
        SUMMERSET COUNTY 3RD ST. MILLI All winners were swabbed SPECIAL STEWARDS REPORT  25
        AUGUST 2001 Trainer V OLDFIELD was charged by Stewards
        under Local Rule of Racing NT 77  Failing to notify Stewards and lodge a letter of
        authority to leave a licensed or registered person in charge of his stables in his absence
        for a period longer than 48 hours. Trainer V OLDFIELD was fined the sum of $200. An Inquiry was concluded into the fall of
        BELLILE, ridden by Apprentice D FOSTER at approximately the 600M mark in the Open Handicap
        on 11 August 2001. After taking evidence from S BURROWS rider of BINOCULARS, D DILLON
        rider of DANGERS PRIDE, M CORNELL rider of FACTORWAY and Apprentice D FOSTER and
        after viewing the different video angles of the race, Stewards found that no one rider was
        to blame for the fall. No further action was taken. |
