1400m Tempting Beauty jumped away awkwardly. Approaching the 1300 metres Kokomo Miss had to be eased off
the heels of Just Precious (NZ) (L. Dowson), which shifted in. L., Dowson was notified he
must be clear of other runners before shifting ground in future. In the early part of the straight Kokomo Miss had to be
eased when disappointed for a run between Just Precious (NZ) and Midnight Nova, which
shifted in. Kokomo Miss was then held up for a run until passing the 200 metres, where the
filly was again eased to avoid the heels of Salvite, which shifted in. Race 2 - No Fuss Events SV 2YO Maiden Plate -
1400m Prior to correct weight B. White rider of Ruby Draw, 4th
placegetter requested to view the Stewards patrol video with regard to lodging an
objection. After viewing the video B. White lodged an objection against Mummify being
declared 3rd placegetter on the grounds of alleged interference near the 800
metres, rounding the home turn and again over the last 100 metres. After hearing evidence
from all parties concerned and viewing the Stewards patrol videos, Stewards dismissed the
objection. It was established that approaching the 700 metres Ruby Draw was inconvenienced
due to Mummify shifting out to obtain a run on the outside of Sure Red. After passing the
600 metres Ruby Draw and Mummify were inconvenienced due to Sure Red being taken out by
Tuppeny Opera. In the straight Ruby Draw, which had a tendency to lay in under pressure,
shifted in towards Mummify and as a result B. White rider of the filly was struck on the
arm by the whip of G. Eades rider of Mummify. Flash Lane was slow to begin. On the home turn Sure Red, which was weakening, had to be
checked when tightened for room between Mummify and Tuppeny Opera (L. Dowson), which
initially shifted out before being taken out slightly by Snap To It. L. Dowson will be
reprimanded and notified to exercise more care when shifting ground in future. Race 3 - Bendigo Bearings SV 3YO Maiden Plate -
1600m After passing the 200 metres Darsawye was hampered when

inconvenienced Brief Conflict on two occasions. Race 4 - Eagelhawk Motor Radiator Service Class 2
Handicap - 1300m On the way to the barriers Miss M. Payne rider of Gothic
Lord was dislodged. Gothic Lord then cantered to the barriers riderless. The gelding was
examined by the Club's Veterinary Surgeon and passed fit to run. Rounding the home turn and in the early part of the
straight King's God had difficulty in obtaining a clear run. Passing the 200 metres Miss Iridium shifted in away from
Gothic Lord and brushed King's God. Shortly after this Miss Iridium was severely hampered
when tightened for room between King's God, which shifted out slightly and Gothic Lord,
which shifted in away from Pindarri Gold. Race 5 - McCaig Air-Conditioning Class 6 Handicap
        - 1100m River Junction knuckled on jumping away then shifted in and
hampered Black Magic and Harms Way. Race 6 - Castlemaine Small Goods Class 2 Handicap
        - 1000m Rounding the home turn and in the straight Longwood Star
hung out. Miss M. Payne rider of Cobber stated to the Stewards that
the gelding travelled well until rounding the home turn, where from that point the
gelding's action deteriorated and she believed there may have been something amiss with
it. Miss Payne added that for this reason she eased her mount down in the straight. A
Veterinary examination of Cobber revealed no abnormalities. Race 7 - Bendigo Party Hire F & M Class 3
Handicap - 1500m Shortly after the start Fearless Sophie, Lustrum and Miss
Megari were tightened for room between Young Scarlet, which shifted out slightly and Lunar
Streak, which shifted in. Race 8 - Worksafe Victoria Class 1 Handicap -
1600m On arrival at the course Bangerang Bonnie was examined by
the Club's Veterinary Surgeon and passed fit to run. Approaching the 1400 metres Royal Maestro had to be eased
when tightened for room by Infernal, which initially shifted in and Gliding Home, which
then shifted out. Near the 600 metres Infernal had to be checked off the
heels of Gliding Home. Shortly after this Gliding Home, which had a tendency to lay in,
shifted in away from Rockaway and as a result hampered Bangerang Bonnie. Approaching the 400 metres Bangerang Bonnie had to be
checked when tightened for room between Gliding Home, which continued to lay in and
Doritilla, which shifted out. Near the 200 metres L. Coffey rider of Bastille Rule,
accidentally dropped his whip. SWAB SAMPLES Swab samples were taken from the following winners -
