Riding Changes:

Race 1 - Sport 927 3YO & Up Maiden Plate - 1600m-

Near the 200 metres Our Sugar Street (NZ) shifted in towards Regality Rose.

Race 2 - Eat Well Live Well Class 2 Handicap - 1600m -

C. Quilty rider of Regal Rachel, 2^nd placegetter, was severely reprimanded for failing to ride his mount out to the end of the race.

At the entrance to the straight Moxie Magic and Regal Rachel came together, due to both horses shifting ground slightly and then brushed on a number of occasions for a short distance.

For the majority of the race Danakaaber laid out under pressure.

Race 3 - Pentax SV 2YO Maiden Plate - 1000m-

En route to the barrier D. Nikolic was dislodged from Nightbird.

Near the 200 metres Noble Racer (V. Duric) shifted out abruptly and bumped Another Rainbow. V. Duric was severely reprimanded and notified to exercise more care when shifting ground in future.

Race 4 - All Seasons International SV 3YO C & G Maiden Plate - 1100m -

Near the 900 metres Stick 'Em Up had to be checked when tightened for room by Pseudomorph, which shifted in slightly away from Sure Bet (S. Arnold), which shifted in. S. Arnold was reprimanded and notified to exercise more care when shifting ground in future.

Race 5 - Tooheys New Class 6 Handicap - 1300m -

Near the 100 metres Declare had to be eased when tightened for room between Brother Thaddeus, which shifted in slightly and Grimhuntamug (NZ), which shifted out slightly.

Race 6 - 3BO FM 93.5 F & M Class 3 Handicap - 1300m -

Prior to correct weight Stewards viewed the head-on film of the start to determine whether Tokino had been denied a fair start. After viewing the film Stewards deemed Tokino to be a runner.

When the gates opened Tokino was slow to begin.

In the early and middle stages of the race Change Of Control got its head up when over-racing.

Race 7 - Asian Bazaar Class 1 Handicap - 1400m -

L. Dowson was severely reprimanded for failing to fulfil his engagement on I'm Alright, due to being overweight.

Near the 400 metres Underground Lover had to be checked when tightened for room between Poker Player, which shifted out slightly and I'm Alright, which shifted in slightly.

Race 8 - Sutton Grange Stud SV 3YO F Maiden Plate - 1100m-

When the gates opened Wild Ride jumped away awkwardly. Also when the gates opened Make Your Mark and Snow Board were hampered when tightened for room between Arabian Jewel, which shifted out and Wonderful Century, which shifted in.

Near the 100 metres Wild Ride (M. Gatt) shifted out to obtain a run on the outside of Buonna Notte, which was also shifting out, resulting in Clever Jeel, which was racing to the outside of Wild Ride being hampered. M. Gatt will be notified to exercise more care when shifting ground in future.

SWAB SAMPLES -

Swab samples were taken from the following winners - Our Sugar Street (NZ) (Race 1), Moxie Magic (Race 2), Casa Mia (Race 6), Loire Valley (Race 7)

A random swab sample was taken from Kel Power (Race 5)

Four horses had pre-race blood samples taken for post race analysis

FINES -

Mr. B. Mayfield-Smith trainer of Wild Ride (Race 8) was fined the sum of $30 for using wrong colours on the filly.
