Surgeon prior to the running of this race and passed fit to fulfill her riding
engagements. RUBY SAL (W. Kerford) jumped away
awkwardly. TIMELY FIRE (H. McKechnie) dipped on
jumping away. Rounding the home turn EXPLETIVE (Darren
Holland) shifted out to improve its position resulting in TIMELY FIRE (H. McKechnie) being
taken out and brushing SIREN MISS (C. Symons). As a result TIMELY FIRE became unbalanced
for a short distance. Mr. S. Padman, trainer of RARE NICKEL, was
advised that the mare was now banned from racing for a period of three months under ARR

McKechnie), which was showing a tendency to lay in, shifted in slightly; at the same time
PRINCE BLEV (J. Maund) rolled out, resulting in FULL GLOW (P. Gatt) being tightened for
galloping room and having to ease. P. Gatt reported to Stewards that although receiving
pressure, his mount was extremely reluctant to hold its position. In the vicinity of the 300 metres GREG (H.
McKechnie), which had continued to show a tendency to lay in, shifted in, resulting in

SERVICES CLASS 3 HANDICAP J. Nevin replaced M. Hoppo as the
rider of AFTER BEUNE. A swab sample was taken from ARADINA,
winner of the race. In the vicinity of the 800 metres ROMANTIC
ENCOUNTER (T. Creek) commenced to race ungenerously and, whilst being eased, commenced to
lose ground. In consequence GEORGIA GLOAMING (D. Tootell), which had been showing a
tendency to over-race, was taken in slightly by COLINS SPECIAL (M. Clarke) and as a
result GEORGIA GLOAMING was forced to severely check to avoid the heels of ROMANTIC
ENCOUNTER and in doing so made contact with the running rail resulting in GEORGIA GLOAMING
shifting out abruptly. As a result COLINS SPECIAL was hampered and forced wider on
the track. MY SKY ROCKET (GB) (P. Gatt) and THRU THE TRAFFIC (J. Lorensini) were also
inconvenienced in avoiding the heels of GEORGIA GLOAMING. In the vicinity of the 200 metres J.

begin. RACE 5 TWO WELLS HOTEL MOTEL

rider of JAZORSKY. A swab sample was taken from LORD MILN,
winner of the race. BRIGHT ROCK reared as the gates opened
resulting in that horses head hitting the superstructure of the stall. Darren
Holland, rider of BRIGHT ROCK, was almost dislodged as a result of the incident. In the vicinity of the 400 metres LORD MILN
        (C. Lindop) had difficulty in obtaining clear galloping ground for a short distance. FREAK OUT lost its near fore plate during
the running of the race. Following the running of this race M.

the 100 metres ZAHEEM (B. Claridge) was disappointed for a run on the inside of OUR KING
COUNTY (B. Vale) when that gelding was showing a tendency to lay in. RACE 7 SPRING SERIES (HEAT 1)
COOPERS/SABIS FILLIES & MARES CLASS 2 HANDICAP D. Tootell replaced M. Clark as the
rider of I LEICA and C. Symons replaced M. Hoppo as the rider of BUT FOR THE GRACE. In the vicinity of the 1200 metres NEW
STATUS (W. Kerford) shifted in when insufficiently clear of I LEICA (D. Tootell) resulting
in that mare being taken in onto STRAWBERRY (S. Price), which resulted in that mare having
to ease and lose its position. W. Kerford pleaded guilty to a charge of Careless Riding.
Stewards advised that rider that they believed that the penalty imposed was a Class 1
penalty and taking into consideration his record and guilty plea, W. Kerford was suspended
from riding in races for a period to commence at midnight on 17th October and
to expire at midnight on Tuesday, 23rd October 2001; a period of one
