3YO Maiden Plate 1200 Metres S. Arnold, rider of Magic Motive, when asked if he could
offer any explanation for the colt performing below expectations, stated that Magic Motive
travelled well until put under pressure on the home turn, and when put under pressure the
colt's action became uncoordinated. Steven Arnold added that from that point onwards, the
colt weakened quickly. A veterinary examination of Magic Motive following the race, failed
to reveal any abnormality. On the home turn, Molly Ellen(NZ) had to be checked off the
heels of Magic Motive which had commenced to weaken. Race 2 - Eclipse Ford Super Vobis 2YO

below expectations, stated that he was tightened for room near the 1000 metres, and was
again hampered near the 800 metres, by Sanguinity, which was pulling hard and shifting
ground. From then onwards the gelding was a beaten horse, and other than being
inconvenienced early and mid race, could offer no explanation for the gelding's poor
performance. A veterinary examination of the gelding failed to reveal any abnormality. Mr
        S. Zahra, stable foreman for M. Ellerton trainer of the gelding, gave an undertaking that,
if there was anything detected subsequent to the race that may have affected the gelding's
performance today, he would notify the Stewards. Approaching the winning post, Revita was tightened for room
between Super Scope and Arctic Circle when both shifted ground slightly. As a result,
