Race 1 - Peter Amor Motors Super Vobis 3yo Maiden Plate (1) 1400 Metres

Prior to correct weight, N Rawiller rider of Times Ripe, fourth placegetter, viewed the Stewards' patrol videos before deciding not to lodge an objection.

Shortly after the start, Lester Thunderwing had to be eased to avoid the heels of Nazdek which shifted in.

Near the 1200 metres Times Ripe had to be checked when tightened for room by Transferral, (Noel Callow), which initially shifted in. The interference was then aggravated due to Transferral then having to be eased off the heels of Barmaid Rules (Wayne Davis), which shifted in. After taking all the circumstances into account, the Stewards severely reprimanded Noel Callow for initially shifting in when not clear, and notified Wayne Davis to exercise more care when shifting ground in future.

When the pace slackened approaching the 1000 metres, Times Ripe had to be checked off the heels of Where's Davo.

After passing the 1000 metres Nazdek had to be checked off the heels of Test Eagle.

On the home turn, Miss Master Key shifted out and bumped Transferral and as a result Miss Master Key became unbalanced.

Subsequent to the race, the Club's Veterinary Surgeon reported that Test Eagle had received lacerations to its off hind leg.
