Race 1 -Paula Porter Racehorse Transport Maiden Plate - 2200 Metres:

"Bank Interest" was slow to begin.

Race 2 -Nazreth House Building Appeal Super Vobis Maiden Plate - 1000 Metres:

On jumping away "Hellova Century" shifted in abruptly and bumped "Kingdom Blue". "Kingdom Blue" then knuckled and lost ground.

Passing the 800 metres "Kingdom Blue" shifted in and hampered "Champagne Lizzy".

Approaching the 200 metres "Bella Puella" had to be checked when disappointed for a run on the inside of "Baby Blues" Miss. M. Payne which shifted in. Miss M. Payne was reprimanded and notified to exercise more care in future.

In the straight "Julian" and "Sir Topaz" hung in under pressure.

Race 3 - D.J. & C.W. Murphy Fillies & Mares Maiden Plate - 1200 Metres:

Prior to correct weight J. Winks rider of "Floribunda" 3rd placing viewed the stewards patrol video before deciding not to lodge an objection.

Shortly after the start "Lady Jo" shifted in and hampered "Conscription", "Comedie Francaise (NZ)" and "Rumah Batik".

Near the 1000 metres "Yakity Yak" became unbalanced when racing tight on the inside of "Vixen".

Subsequent to the race the Clubs Veterinary Surgeon reported that "Floribunda" had an irregular heart beat. The stewards notified M. Ellerton trainer of the filly that "Floribunda" must trial to the satisfaction of the stewards and obtain a Veterinary clearance, which must include the results of a EGC prior to the filly racing again.

Race 4 -Australian Thoroughbred Bloodstock Class 2 Handicap - 1100 Metres:

On jumping away "Podgy Bleu" was severely hampered when tightened for room between "Lintrice" which shifted in and "I'm Honour Roll (NZ) which was taken out by "Export Magic".

J. Barnett rider of "I'm Honour Roll (NZ)" 5th placegetter was severely reprimanded for having failed to weigh in.

Race 5 -Betty Matheson Memorial Class 6 Handicap - 1500 Metres:

Near the 1400 metres "Cicatrix" made contact with "Heist" when being taken out by "Royal Jugah".

Race 6 -Carlton Draught Fillies & Mares Class 4 Handicap - 1100 Metres:

Approaching the 200 metres "All Play" shifted out and brushed "Gold Gem" out onto "Cameo Grey".

Near the 200 metres Miss. M. Payne rider of "Gold Gem" accidentally dropped her whip.

Race 7 -Worksafe Victoria Class 3 Handicap - 1400 Metres:

During the running of the race "Nanbrooke Princess" suffered a bleeding attack.

Near the 1000 metres "Nanbrooke Princess" was eased to avoid the heels of "Coeur De Feu" which shifted in slightly and as a result "Captivity" which was following was hampered in consequence.

In the straight "Coeur De Feu" hung out under pressure.

Race 8 -Sisters Of Nazareth Class 1 Handicap - 1600 Metres:

On jumping away "Old Red" knuckled and as a result dislodged T. Barry the rider of the gelding.

Rounding the home turn and in the early part of the straight "Belle Stone (NZ)" and "Pure Grace" had difficulty in obtaining clear runs.

Approaching the 200 metres "Golden Zeus" which was weakening had to be eased when tightened for room between "Cross Dancer" and "Belle Stone (NZ)" (M. Pegus) which shifted out to obtain a run on the outside of "Sampaquita". M. Pegus was severely reprimanded for shifting ground when not sufficiently clear. Shortly after this "Sampaquita" became unbalanced when tightened for room between "Cross Dancer" and Pure Grace" which was taken out slightly by "Emandem".

In the straight "Belle Stone (NZ)" hung out under pressure.
