Race 1 - SUPER VOBIS THREE-YEARS-OLD
FILLIES MAIDEN PLATE (1) 1400 METRES.
Artemus jumped away awkwardly. Rounding the home corner
Artemus had difficulty obtaining a clear run. Approaching the 200m Lady Papadam was held
up for a run. In the early and middle stages of the race For Your Love (NZ) and Lady
Mackie (NZ) raced greenly.
Race 2 - SUPER VOBIS THREE-YEARS-OLD
FILLIES MAIDEN PLATE (2) 1400 METRES.
Throughout the race Ginger Ice raced greenly. Approaching
the home corner Ginger Ice was held up for a run. Approaching the 500m Bridie's Love was
held up for a run.
Race 3 - SUPER VOBIS THREE-YEARS-OLD
COLTS AND GELDINGS MAIDEN PLATE 1400 METRES.
Throughout the race Breezy Path raced greenly. In the early
and middle stages of the race Wise Up over raced. After passing the 100m Pindari Prince
was tightened for room between Hanford (NZ) and Wise Up when both of those horses shifted
ground slightly.
Race 4 - CADBURY/ SCHWEPPES FILLIES
AND MARES CLASS 1 HANDICAP 1600 METRES.
Approaching the 900m Millepede had to be eased off the
heals of Stefani. In the early and middle stages of the race Chardarri over raced, and
approaching the 400m had to be eased off the heals of Nardoo Pegasus which shifted in.
Race 5 - TOOHEYS NEW CLASS 2 HANDICAP
1200 METRES.
The Admiral (NZ) and Baroud were slow to begin. On jumping
away Shebensopdet jumped away awkwardly shifted out and took Bundy Black out onto Sparring
Partner. So Sparring Partner then shifted out further and hampered Moxie Magic and Rimba
Soledad.
Race 6 - BURKE SIGNS CLASS 6 HANDICAP
1400 METRES.
Questwin was slow to begin. On jumping away Etta Place
knuckled. Approaching the 800m Glove Puppet had to be eased off the heals of Kelrize. In
the middle stages of the race the saddle on Prince Quay (NZ) shifted forward this resulted
in the gelding hanging out the middle stages of the race. Approaching the 400m Glove
Puppet had to be eased off the heals of Canviti which shifted in slightly.
Race 7 - AUSTAR CLASS 1 HANDICAP 1400
METRES.
Prior to correct weigh stewards requested a developed print
of the official photo finish for 1st place. After viewing the photo stewards
agreed with the judges placing and declared correct weight. In the early and middle stages
of the race Kosmikos (NZ) over raced. Approaching the 700m Kosmikos (NZ) had to be eased
when tightened for room between Blue Gold Bay and Aspiring Place which shifted out
slightly. . Kosmikos (NZ) when being eased shifted in slightly and brushed Hitmonchan
which resulted in that gelding becoming unbalanced
Race 8 - ROSE CITY CLASS 3 HANDICAP
1600 METRES.
Big Indi was slow to begin. After passing the 200m Ruby
Jude had to be eased to avoid the heals of Brotherhood (NZ) which shifted out when
weakening.
Race 9 - MAIDEN PLATE 1600
METRES.
Running Hot was slow to begin. In the early stages of the
race Atlantic Warrior over raced.
