RACE 1 – FESTIVAL CITY WINES & FOODS TWO-YEAR-OLD SPECIAL CONDITIONS HANDICAP

AWAKENING (S. Price) jumped away awkwardly, resulting in that rider losing the use of his off side iron. S. Price was unable to regain the use of the iron throughout the event. S. Price reported that his leather had come out of its keeper, rendering it unusable.

On jumping away AWAKENING (S. Price) shifted out abruptly onto NIJINSKY PRINCE (M. Hoppo), taking that gelding out onto ZIPPA RAJA (G. Dorol); at the same time as TROLL (J. Holder) jumped inwards, tightening KEEP THE NOTE (R. Faehr), onto ZIPPA RAJA. ZIPPA RAJA subsequently lost its position and KEEP THE NOTE was inconvenienced.

AWAKENING suffered an abrasion to its near fore arm during the race.
