 Rail: Out 4 metres from 1450 to winning post.
 RACE 1: FELTEX CLASSIC CARPETS HANDICAP The start of this race was delayed owing to
        MERRIMAK being difficult to load. Mr M Minervini trainer of the filly was advised that a
        repetition of its behaviour would lead to action being taken against it. After being loaded TOUCH OF IRONY (J
        Bowditch) reared in the gates prior to becoming cast and as a result that filly kicked
        KEELYS GIFT. MISS PUBLICITY in the adjoining stall broke through the gates. MISS
        PUBLICITY was quickly recaptured by the Clerk of the Course and returned to the gates.  TOUCH OF IRONY was inspected by the
        Clubs Veterinary Surgeon and ruled unfit. Acting on that advice Stewards withdrew
        TOUCH OF IRONY at 12.32pm. All bets on that horse were declared off. Bets on Win and Place
        made prior to the withdrawal to be paid on face value of ticket less 13 cents in the $ for
        the Win and 12 cents in the $ for the Place. MISS PUBLICITY AND KEELYS GIFT were
        inspected by the Clubs Veterinary Surgeon and ruled fit to start. KEELYS GIFT (M Hoppo) jumped away
        awkwardly. BOOJUM (J Holder) was slow to jump. Near the 800 metres KEELYS GIFT (M
        Hoppo) was obliged to shift in when tightened by FONNIX (P Gatt). Subsequent to the race a Veterinary
        inspection of FONNIX revealed that filly to be slightly lame in the off fore leg.  The Clubs Veterinary Surgeon
        confirmed that TOUGH OF IRONY returned to scale with blood in its off side nostril. RACE 2: SCHWEPPES HANDICAP C Lever replaced J Lorensini as the rider
        of SPASMODIC owing to J Lorensini being unable to provide medical clearance having forgone
        his rides at Clare on Wednesday. LATTE (M Hoppo) jumped away awkwardly and
        shifted out on to ENFOLD (W Kerford) resulting in LATTE becoming unbalanced for a short
        distance. Near the 700 metres LIKE ALEISHA (J
        OConnor) whilst being steadied was obliged to shift out away from the heels of FAVA
        (B Claridge), which shifted in. Near the 600 metres ENFOLD (W Kerford),
        which was inclined to race fiercely was obliged to steady off the heels of NOBODY (T
        Creek) as the pace slackened. RACE 3: JAYCO CARAVANS HANDICAP J Lorensini replaced J Bowditch as the
        rider of LA SUPREMO owing to J Bowditch standing down having sustained an injury to right
        arm in an earlier incident. On jumping away SPICE DOLL (J Holder) and
        GEM BEACH (C Lindop) brushed together. FINE STEM (C Lever) jumped away awkwardly
        and shifted in inconveniencing DEVIL IN DISGUISE (S Cahill). Near the 1000 metres, DEVIL IN DISGUISE (S
        Cahill) got its head up and was inconvenienced when tightened by SPICE DOLL (J Holder),
        which rolled out at the same time as LA SUPREMO (J Lorensini) rolled in. RACE 4: ALCOHOL GO-EASY
        BREEDERS STAKES J Bowditch was inspected by the Clubs
        Doctor and ruled unfit for his remaining rides. W Kerford replaced J Bowditch of RED
        LABELLE. GREAT GLEN was inspected by the Clubs
        Veterinary Surgeon on arrival on course and ruled fit to start. FRENCH TERROR (P Mertens) jumped away
        awkwardly and shifted out inconveniencing WESTACE (D Tootell), which was taken out on to
        WE WILL ROCK YOU (D Holland), which became unbalanced. In the vicinity of the 1000 metres, WE WILL
        ROCK YOU (D Holland) which was inclined to lay in shifted in brushing ORRONG (T Creek)
        resulting in that colt laying out on to WE WILL ROCK YOU. Subsequent to the race HYDROMETER was
        inspected by the Clubs Veterinary Surgeon who reported that colt showing signs of
        respiratory infection. NOBLE RACER, which was eased out of the
        event in the straight, was subjected to a Veterinary inspection, which revealed the colt
        had a heart irregularity. Mr J Mason the trainer of NOBLE RACER was advised that the
        results of an ECG examination are to be forwarded to the TRSA Veterinary Surgeon prior to
        NOBLE RACER being cleared for future racing. RACE 5: FELTEX RESERVE CARPETS
        HANDICAP J Lorensini replaced J Bowditch as the
        rider of APPEALING BELL. The start of this race was delayed owing to
        LOOBNAN requiring farrier attention. T Creek the rider of OLIVER BEER (NZ)
        reported that he had lost the use of his offside iron after jumping away and regained the
        use of the iron in the vicinity of the 1200 metres. I KEN (J Potter) jumped away awkwardly and
        shifted out hampering APPEALING BELL (J Lorensini). Inside the 1200 metres, APPEALING BELL (J
        Lorensini) shifted in and tightened OLIVER BEER (NZ) (T Creek) which was obliged to steady
        and lose its position. J Lorensini was reprimanded and advised that in future to show more
        respect to his fellow riders. RACE 6: FELTEX CARPETS R N IRWIN
        STAKES P Mertens replaced J Bowditch as the rider
        of STAR HIT. Inside the 800 metres, RAJA LANE (C Lever)
        which was inclined to lay away from EMPRESS WALTZ (S Cahill) on its outside shifted in and
        contacted ARAGONCE (S Price). RACE 7: RAWSONS ELECTRICAL TOKYO CITY
        CUP Stewards considered a submission from Mr M
        Kavanagh the trainer of RARE GOLD and Mr D Moriarty a part owner of the gelding in
        relation to replacing J Bowditch with B Claridge an apprentice. Stewards acceded to Mr
        Kavanaghs request. B Claridge replaced J Bowditch. On jumping away STARBUCKS (D Azis) shifted
        out abruptly and tightened REAL TIME (NZ) (J Lorensini) on to RARE GOLD (B Claridge)
        resulting in both geldings being inconvenienced. In the vicinity of the 1100 metres, EXALTED
        LAD (J Maund) was obliged to steady off the heels of STARBUCKS (D Azis), which shifted in. Racing to the 1000 metres, REAL TIME (NZ)
        (J Lorensini) was obliged to steady off the heels of ACCUSE (D Gauci) which shifted in. In the early and middle stages of the race
        RALLY (D OHeare) raced fiercely. Racing to the 600 metres, SCENIC WARRIOR (P
        Mertens) shifted in tightening BRONZE ROULETTE (J Holder) in on to DALLAENI (W Kerford),
        which rolled out. SCENIC WARRIOR as a result had its hindquarters turned and continued to
        lay on BRONZE ROULETTE, which was obliged to check, and in doing so lost its position and
        hampered MR SELBY (T Creek). Stewards took no action, as they deemed no one rider to be at
        fault. P Gatt the rider of BORDER TIME was
        questioned regarding his making a celebratory gesture prior to the winning post. P Gatt
        was find $200 under ARR 137 (c) in that he committed a celebratory gesture prior to the
        winning post. Mr. P Mertens rider of SCENIC WARRIOR
        reported that SCENIC WARRIOR had traveled well until the vicinity of the 600 metres and
        after being involved in a minor incident near the 600 metres he felt the gelding had not
        responded to his riding for the remainder of the event. He added that it was his
        observation on being unsaddled SCENIC WARRIOR blew harder than he would have expected.  Stewards ordered a swab sample be taken
        from SCENIC WARRIOR, which performed disappointingly. Subsequent to the race a Veterinary
        inspection of SCENIC WARRIOR failed to reveal any visible abnormalities. SCENIC WARRIOR
        was also subjected to an endoscopic examination, which revealed evidence of respiratory
        impairment. Mr D Smith representing Mr D L Freedman trainer of SCENIC WARRIOR, gave an
        undertaking that the gelding would be subjected to a further endoscopic examination under
        stress and the results would be forwarded to the TRSA Veterinary Surgeon Dr Robinson prior
        to the gelding accepting for a future event. Subsequent to the race a Veterinary
        examination of RARE GOLD revealed filling in a near fore limb and a lower than expected
        heart rate. RACE 8: MIX 102.3 HANDICAP Approaching the finish SIMPLY MAGICAL (D
        Azis) shifted out under riding on to HOSTILE LAD (B Claridge) taking that gelding out on
        to the heels of OUTSIDE THE SQUARE (M Hoppo), which shifted in under riding resulting in
        HOSTILE LAD having to be checked and in doing so, contacted CLASSIC DREAM (P Gatt) which
        was inconvenienced. M Hoppo was reprimanded and advised that in future he would be
        required to stop riding and straighten his mount. ROUTINE SWAB SAMPLES Race 1 BELLOTTO (winner).Race 2 LATTE (winner).
