 RACE 1  PUBS FOR LIVE MUSIC MAIDEN PLATE (Division 1) J. Maund replaced D. Carney as the
        rider of DING DOR owing to D. Carney being excessively overweight. Subsequently that
        rider was fined the sum of $100 under ARR 120(b). PERFECT CLEAVAGE (C. Lindop) and TASHILADO
        (W. Kerford) were both slow to begin. In the vicinity of the 800 metres BISHA MON
        (B. Claridge) shifted in; at the same time PREMONISH (C. Lever) shifted in and away from
        that horse. In consequence DUBAI CLARE (S. Cahill) was taken in onto DING DOR (J.
        Maund) resulting in that filly being tightened for galloping room and having to be eased.
        As a result JACK N TAN (L. Smith), which had been racing on the inside of DIN
        DOR, was hampered. Stewards took no further action as they believed that no one
        rider was responsible. C. Lindop, rider of PERFECT CLEAVAGE, was
        fined the sum of $50 for dropping her whip rounding the home turn. RACE 2  HOTELS FOR HANSON
        MAIDEN PLATE (Division 2) The start of this race was delayed
        owing to OIL CAN ANNIE breaking through the front of its barrier stall. That mare was
        quickly reined in by its rider, Darren Holland. After a veterinary inspection, OIL CAN
        ANNIE was passed fit to take its place in the field. BUICK (C. Buchiw) jumped away awkwardly
        resulting in that gelding shifting in and making contact with SIMMS COVE (H. McKechnie). Rounding the home turn OIL CAN ANNIE
        (Darren Holland) was disappointed for a run resulting in that mare having to be eased off
        the heels of STARLIT (T. Creek). RACE 3  SKY REWARDS PROGRAM
        MAIDEN PLATE (Division 1) Stewards ordered the withdrawal of
        CAMULET at 1.10 pm when it was established that the geldings trainer, Mr. J. Dunn,
        believed that he had scratched this horse at approximately 12 noon on Tuesday, 4th
        September 2001. Stewards will investigate the claims by Mr. Dunn in relation to the
        scratching of the gelding. CALIFORNIA ROSE suffered a laceration to
        the off hind pastern during the running of the race. RACE 4  JIM BEAM BLACK LABEL
        MAIDEN PLATE (Division 2) T. Creek replaced D. Carney as the
        rider of RUMAH BATIK owing to D. Carney being excessively overweight. MADISON GARDENS (D. Azis) and NORMOUS (D.
        Tootell) both jumped away awkwardly. Rounding the home turn WHY HURRY (H.
        McKechnie) rolled in resulting in SADLER JOH (J. Bowditch) being inconvenienced. In the vicinity of the 300 metres SADLER
        JOH (J. Bowditch) shifted out resulting in WHY HURRY (H. McKechnie) being inconvenienced. Racing inside the 200 metres BAROSSA CAN
        CAN (J. Maund) shifted out abruptly resulting in contact being made with WHY HURRY (H.
        McKechnie) and as a result that mare became unbalanced for a short distance. RACE 5  THE ARISTOCRAT
        TECHNOLOGIES CLASS 2 HANDICAP Mr. J. Lockyer, trainer of SHUTAYR,
        was fined the sum of $50 for failing to declare a rider for that emergency at the required
        time. Stewards questioned C. Lindop in relation
        to her being declared as the rider of TWISTED DREAM and TYRANNIZE. Stewards ordered that
        C. Lindop ride TWISTED DREAM. L. Smith replaced that rider on TYRANNIZE. C. Lindop was
        subsequently fined the sum of $100 for accepting two rides in this event. Darren Holland replaced D. Carney as the
        rider of TI AMO KING owing to D. Carney being excessively overweight. FLY THE SCENE (P. Gatt) raced ungenerously
        in the early stages of the event. In the vicinity of the 300 metres STRIKING
        PLUME (S. Price) shifted out slightly to improve its position resulting in TI AMO KING
        (Darren Holland) being taken out slightly. At the same time FLY THE SCENE (P. Gatt)
        shifted in under riding and as a result DORADOS (J. Bowditch) was tightened for galloping
        room and taken in onto TI AMO KING which resulted in that gelding having to be checked,
        shifting in, and hampering BRANTWOOD (W. Kerford). P. Gatt was reprimanded by the Stewards
        and given the benefit of the doubt as to whether he was solely responsible for this
        incident. A veterinary inspection of FLY THE SCENE
        following the running of the race revealed lameness in the near foreleg. TI AMO KING suffered an attack of
        respiratory thumps following the running of the race. A veterinary inspection of RIMULA following
        the running of the race revealed the mare had aggravated a previous off foreleg injury. RACE 6  IGT CLASS 1 HANDICAP S. Price replaced D. Carney as the
        rider of CZARINA owing to D. Carney being excessively overweight. A veterinary inspection of BUSH VINE
        following the running of the race revealed lameness in the off foreleg. RACE 7  AHA / CUB CUP A swab sample was taken from KEN
        CHEVAL, winner of the race. AMARINA (L. Smith) jumped away awkwardly. On jumping away KNIGHTLY DISPLAY (S. Price)
        shifted in onto COSSACK LAW (C. Lindop) who in turn was taken in onto SIR ARCHER (J.
        Maund) resulting in that gelding being tightened for galloping room and taken in onto HAND
        PASS (B. Vale). At the same time SUIT (C. Symons) shifted out which resulted in AMARINA
        (L. Smith) being taken out onto HAND PASS. In consequence both HAND PASS and AMARINA were
        tightened for galloping room and forced to lose their positions. RACE 8  NOTTAGE HILL LEGENDS
        CLASS 3 HANDICAP BRIGHTNESS (B. Claridge) and TO PAY
        UP (D. Tootell) brushed together on a number of occasions in the straight. BRICKLINS BROTHER was subject to a
        veterinary inspection and endoscoping following the running of the race which revealed an
        upper respiratory tract infection. RACE 9  YALUMBA SPRINT CLASS 2
        HANDICAP C. Symons, rider of ARADINA,
        reported to Stewards that the mare was extremely restless in its stall prior to the start
        and as the gates opened, jumped away awkwardly. C. Symons further stated that ARADINA had
        shown a tendency to lay in, in the straight. A veterinary inspection of ARADINA following
        the running of the race revealed no visible abnormalities. KYAKATU (B. Vale) slipped behind on jumping
        away. As a result that mare made contact with the starting stalls resulting in a
        laceration to the near side eye. CHECA (J. Bowditch) jumped outwards at the
        start resulting in contact being made with OXFORD REGENT (D. Tootell). Racing inside the 400 metres BRIGHT ROCK
        (Darren Holland) shifted in resulting in RUBY WEDNESDAY (J. Maund) having to be eased. |
