RACE 1 : YALUMBA HANDICAP On jumping away BLEVEEN (D.
Tootell) shifted out and brushed LUSKINS PROUD (P. Gatt). RACE 2 : MAGIC MILLIONS HANDICAP HIKING, which had been kicked
behind the gates, was examined by the Clubs Veterinary Surgeon and ruled fit to
start. ITS A GREY (B. Claridge) and WESTACE
        (J. Marks) jumped away awkwardly. ON THE STEEL (S. Price) jumped away
awkwardly and shifted in abruptly, severely hampering ENRICO (J. Holder) and PRIOR LEADER
        (W. Kerford). In the vicinity of the 300 metres HIKING
        (D. Cleaver), which was inclined to race greenly, shifted in and away from BOULTON (D.
OHeare) resulting in ITS A GREY (B. Claridge) being obliged to steady off its
heels and HYPERSONIC (R. Faehr) being tightened. Near the 100 metres HIKING (D. Cleaver),
which had continued to race greenly, shifted in and away from ITS A GREY (B.

piggish prior to the start, had jumped inwards and refused to relax for him in the early
stages of the race. He added that in racing to the turn, ON THE STEEL was inclined to hang
in and continued to lay in under pressure in the straight. Subsequent to the race a veterinary
inspection of ON THE STEEL revealed that gelding was exhibiting signs of respiratory
distress. HYPERSONIC suffered a contusion to the off
fore cannon during the race. RACE 3 : SMOKE-FREE HANDICAP D. Tootell replaced D. OHeare
as the rider of AMARINA. D. OHeare was fined $100 under ARR 120B for being unable to
make the required weight. D. OHeare was also given notice that any future multiple
breaches in respect of this Rule would result in a greater fine, or a suspension, being
considered. AMARINA (D. Tootell) jumped away awkwardly. Inside the 1000 metres DALLAENI (W.
Kerford) rolled out and brushed the hindquarters of AMARINA (D. Tootell), which became
unbalanced momentarily. In the vicinity of the 700 metres DALLAENI

LESS SPEED (W. Kerford), whilst being steadied off the heels of MARAUDING TIDE (T. Creek),
shifted out onto DELBRA (J. Potter) at the same time as ANNIHILATION (J. Maund) rolled in
and away from DARK BANNER (J. Holder), resulting in DELBRA being tightened and losing its
position. Subsequent to the race an endoscopic
inspection of ANNIHILATION revealed that gelding was suffering a severe case of
pharyngitis. Mr. E. Fischer, trainer of the gelding, was advised that a Veterinary
Certificate of Fitness to Race would be required before that gelding accepts for a future

TWIGGY SUMMIT (J. Bowditch) and in doing so shifted in making contact with VINTAGE SECRET
        (P. Gatt), which became unbalanced. Inside the 1200 metres BANDWAGON (W.
Kerford) shifted in and brushed VINTAGE SECRET (P. Gatt), which was inconvenienced. In the vicinity of the 300 metres BRIBES
        (G. Dorol), in shifting out to improve its position, was taken out slightly by REKORB (J.
Maund), which rolled out under pressure resulting in BRIBES contacting the hindquarters of
BELLOTTO BOY (T. Creek) which resulted in BELLOTTO BOY becoming unbalanced. Correct Weight for this event was delayed
to allow G. Dorol, rider of the fifth placegetter, BRIBES, to view the official
Stewards footage in the straight. After doing so G. Dorol lodged an objection
against BELLOTTO BOY (T. Creek) being placed fourth on the grounds of interference at the
entrance to the straight. After considering all the evidence, acting on their own
observations and on viewing the official video footage, Stewards dismissed this
objection. G. Dorol was subsequently fined $200 under ARR 165(3) for lodging, in the

inspection of TEDS JESTER revealed that horse was suffering from pharyngitis. Mr. L.
Treloar, trainer of the horse, was advised that a Veterinary Certificate of Fitness to
Race would be required before that gelding accepts for a future race. Subsequent to the race a veterinary
