        HCP  9OO M When the gates opened SHE"S CLASSY,
        DOUBLE PLAYER and KOSSI PRINCE jumped away awkwardly. Near the 600metres POLISKY rolled
        out slightly taking BRIGHT VISION out onto REGENT COPY. When being eased BRIGHT VISION
        threw its head up and raced ungenerously which accentuated the interference. For the
        majority of the race BLUE VENTURE had a tendency to lay out. Mr A Trengrove trainer of DOUBLE PLAYER was
        fined $20 for using club colours. 1st BLUE VENTURE 2nd POLISKY 3rd
        BRIGHT VISION RACE TWO CLASS 5 HCP  12OO M On jumping away GOLD BOSS which had been
        slow away was tightened for room by BENGAL FLASH which jumped inwards. 1st WARISAN 2nd EL CARTERO 3rd
        BENGAL FLASH RACE THREE CLASS 3 HCP  11OO M D Bates rider of CONTRACT reported that the
        gelding hung out from the 600 metres onwards. The clubs veterinary surgeon inspected
        CONTRACT subsequent to the event and reported that the gelding pulled up in a slightly
        distressed state. Mrs E Brown representing Mr S Brown trainer
        of SOLTRICE notified the stewards  that a stable return had not been lodged
        for that mare in accordance with LR 56 due to an oversight. Stewards accepted the
        explanation of Mrs Brown. 1st GANGA 2nd CHECK OR BET 3rd
        SOLTRICE RACE FOUR OPEN HCP  13OO M As B Schmidt was to be overweight, stewards
        permitted L Schmidt to replace him as the rider of MR CENTREFOLD. Stewards reprimanded B
        Schmidt for accepting a ride outside his weight bracket. 1st GARLANDTOWN MOON 2nd RUBIOKE 3rd
        RICH SKY(NZ) RACE FIVE CLASS D HCP  13OO M Shortly after the start PRESTIGIOUS was
        tightened for room by MYTH and SEVERENCE, both of which shifted ground. Rounding the home turn, CLASSIC CHOICE
        which was weakening, was tightened for room between SEVERENCE and MYTH which shifted out. 1st TIBER 2nd MOSSE 3rd NEARMISS RACE SIX 3YO CLASS 2 HCP  12OO M On jumping away SOLARIO shifted in abruptly
        onto SHODIYM taking that gelding in onto LARRY BOY which in turn was forced onto the
        hindquarters of BELOTTO BOY. As a result SHODIYM was severely hampered and LARRY BOY was
        inconvenienced. At the entrance to the straight SOLARIO (B
        Schmidt) shifted out to obtain a clear run on the outside of JOVIAL TRYST and in so doing
        forced LARRY BOY out. Shortly after this SOLARIO shifted out under pressure and bumped
        LARRY BOY which became unbalanced. B Schmidt was reprimanded and notified that in future
        he must ensure he is sufficiently clear of other runners before shifting ground. Subsequent to the event the clubs
        veterinary surgeon inspected SHODIYM and reported no abnormalities. He also inspected SON
        OF HEED and reported that the gelding had pulled up in a very distressed state. At the request of trainer Mr N Connor, B
        Schmidt was given permission to ride SOLARIO ½ kg over its declared weight. 1st GAINSWAY GIRL 2nd SOLARIO 3rd
        LARRY BOY All winners were swabbed today Mrs E Brown, representing trainer S Brown
        was notified that their stable dog had run onto the course during the running of race 5.
        Mr Brown was fined $200 for having a dog on the course, which was not restrained in
        accordance with the Committees policy. Mrs Brown was also notified that the dog must
        be permanently removed from the course. |
