RACE SIX 3YO CLASS 2 HCP – 12OO M

On jumping away SOLARIO shifted in abruptly onto SHODIYM taking that gelding in onto LARRY BOY which in turn was forced onto the hindquarters of BELOTTO BOY. As a result SHODIYM was severely hampered and LARRY BOY was inconvenienced.

At the entrance to the straight SOLARIO (B Schmidt) shifted out to obtain a clear run on the outside of JOVIAL TRYST and in so doing forced LARRY BOY out. Shortly after this SOLARIO shifted out under pressure and bumped LARRY BOY which became unbalanced. B Schmidt was reprimanded and notified that in future he must ensure he is sufficiently clear of other runners before shifting ground.

Subsequent to the event the clubs veterinary surgeon inspected SHODIYM and reported no abnormalities. He also inspected SON OF HEED and reported that the gelding had pulled up in a very distressed state.

At the request of trainer Mr N Connor, B Schmidt was given permission to ride SOLARIO ½ kg over it’s declared weight.
