Stewards concluded an inquiry into T Gillett putting on a pair of spurs after he had weighed out to ride CENTRE STORM on Saturday 28th July, 2001. T Gillett stated that he removed the spurs after riding in the previous race as they were tight and hurting his foot, he then weighed out and put the spurs back on believing that it would have a negligible effect on the weight carried by the horse. T Gillett was reprimanded and notified that in future he must ensure that he does not add to or remove or change any equipment with which he has weighed.
