        HCP  1OOO M On return to scale G Browder, rider of
        BURNT PEAT notified Stewards that he believed he was denied a fair start. After taking evidence the Stewards believed
        that BURNT PEAT attempted to rear as the gates were opening and the barrier attendant who
        was holding the fillies bridle released the bridle when BURNT PEAT attempted to jump away.
        BURNT PEAT was deemed not to have been denied a fair start and therefore a runner. When the gates opened MY MATE BLUEY jumped
        in abruptly and hampered MANTIS. 1st MANTIS 2nd TALGO 3rd
        LARRY BOY RACE TWO CLASS 4 HCP  15OO M On jumping away EIRE SUPPLY jumped in onto
        PRINCELY MILL. Racing down the back straight KEW had a
        tendancy to get its head up and overrace. 1st KEW 2nd EIRE SUPPLY 3rd

        ILLUMINATOR which performed below expectations. L Schmidt stated that the gelding was
        unable to get up near the leaders early and during the middle stages he had an interrupted
        run when he attempted to go forward, which in his opinion did not suit MR
        ILLUMINATORs style of racing. 1st BURN THE DECK 2nd WICKED LOVE
        3rd GOLD RACER (NZ) RACE FIVE CLASS 6 HCP  12OO M Near the 800 metres NORTHERN CAT, which
        rolled in touched the heels of CHARLIE which shifted out off the fence slightly. L Schmidt
        stated that he felt CHARLIE dip behind near the 800 metres and for that reason he did not
        ride the horse out in his normal manner in the straight. 1st GOTHAM RULER 2nd COPPERPLATE 3rd
        NORTHERN CAT RACE SIX CLASS 2 HCP  1OOO M When the gates opened TYPE CAST reared in
        the air and lost a considerable amount of ground. On jumping away LORD ERSKINE jumped out
        abruptly and hampered SACKVILLE STREET. Near the 800 metres LORD ERSKINE, which was
        overracing, was tightened for room on the inside of ASPEN STAR, when attempting a run
        where there was insufficient room. 1st ASPEN STAR 2nd CRACK THE WHIP
