RACE TWO CLASS 4 HCP – 11OO M

When the gates opened both GOLD BOSS and COPPERPLATE were slow into stride. GOLD BOSS tended to over race to the 700 metres and COPPERPLATE hung over the same distance. Near the 200 metres COPPERPLATE rolled in and slightly inconvenienced GOLD BOSS.

S Brownbill (a) the rider of ASPEN STAR was warned by the stewards that he is under an obligation to ride his mount out to the best of his ability until he passes the winning post.

At the start PINON jumped inwards bumping LOCHTON LASS, TYPE CAST moved in on to STEVO. TYPE CAST lost a glue on shoe in the running which may have contributed to it racing erratically throughout the race.

When the gates opened GAINSWAY GIRL and CARBRODAN BOY bounded in the air. HASTY RHYTHM jumped awkwardly moving inwards causing some inconvenience to GAINSWAY GIRL and CARBRODAN BOY. MY MATE BLUEY jumped awkwardly. DANE VITE failed to handle the turn at the 650 metres, changed stride and lost ground.

Trainer D Leech was fined $30.00 for presenting HASTY RHYTHM with blinkers when not approved to race in that gear (AR140A).
