         11OO M MR SOUL was a late scratching due to its
        refusal to travel to the barriers. At the start MR ILLUMINATOR jumped outwards
        and DELIRIUM got away awkwardly. NICE WAYS, which was having its first race start,
        raced greenly for most of the way. DELIRIUM laid in on the run down the straight. Mr D Leech trainer of NICE WAYS was fined
        $30 for presenting that gelding with blinkers when it is not approved to race in that gear
        (AR140(a)). M Boothby, trainer of MR SOUL was advised
        that should the gelding give a repeat performance at its next start, Stewards would need
        to consider future nominations. Subsequent to the event stewards ordered
        all monies wagered on MR SOUL to be refunded and the following betting deductions. All
        monies wagered prior to the withdrawal of MR SOUL to be paid as follows- For the win, face
        value of the ticket less 16 cents in the dollar. For the place, face value of the ticket

        bounded in the air and was slow into stride. After the race D Bates reported he was
        feeling unwell and requested he be rested from his ride in the following race. 1st CHECK OR BET 2nd BURN THE DECK
        3rd SOLTRICE RACE SEVEN CLASS 3 HCP  13OO M As D Bates was indisposed Stewards
        permitted S Brownbill (a) to replace him as the rider of COMMAND LINE. D Bates was advised
        that a medical certificate would need to be supplied before he rides again. ARAGORN knuckled just after the start. 1st ARAGORN 2nd A ESS EYE 3rd
        COMMAND LINE RACE EIGHT CLASS 6 HCP  1OOO M As D Bates was indisposed Stewards
        permitted S Brownbill (a) to replace him as the rider of SILENT MAJORITY. COPPERPLATE and EMBRACES bumped shortly
        after the start.  Near the 700metres PEERAGE (L Schmidt), had
        to be eased. An inquiry was held into this incident with the rider of COPPERPLATE (T
        Perry), EMBRACES (P Denton), SILENT MAJORITY (S Brownbill (a)) and L Schmidt giving
        evidence. The Stewards believed the riders involved had made an effort to keep their
        mounts under control and no further action was taken. 1st BENGAL FLASH 2nd SILENT
        MAJORITY 3rd COPPERPLATE RACE NINE OPEN HCP  12OO M As D Bates was indisposed Stewards
        permitted S Brown to replace him as the rider of PIM. S Brownbill (a) reported that when the
        gates opened the saddle on CITYKAT slipped backwards which may have caused that gelding to
        pigroot during the first 100 metres. He could offer no explanation as to why the gelding
        compounded so quickly. A subsequent Veterinary examination revealed a much higher than
        normal pulse rate. 1st TORDEAN 2nd PIM 3rd
        KLARSYNT Trainer J Robinson was fined $50 for
        failing to supply stable returns for horses entering and leaving her stable (NT56). She
