RACE ONE CLASS 5 HCP – 15OO M

S Simon, rider of MULBERRY was found guilty of a charge of careless riding (AR137(a)). The careless riding being that near the 1300 metres he permitted his mound to shift in when not sufficiently clear of SEATTLE STRIKE which resulted in that gelding being tightened for room and having to be eased. S Simon was suspended from riding in races for a period to expire at midnight on Saturday 29th September 2001 (2 racemeetings).

S Brownbill (a), rider of KALASHOW was found guilty of careless riding (AR 137(a)). The careless riding being that shortly after entering the straight and for approximately 100 metres he permitted his mount to shift out into MULBERRY in an attempt to obtain a clear run and in so doing hampered MULBERRY for some distance.

S Brownbill (a) was suspended from riding in races for a period to expire at midnight on Saturday 6th October 2001 (3 racemeetings).

1st GOTHAM RULER. 2nd MULBERRY. 3rd KALASHOW.

RACE TWO CLASS 1 HCP – 1OOO M

On jumping away FINAL HURRAH (NZ) shifted out and bumped UNCLE SCROOGE.

Shortly after the start UNCLE SCROOGE shifted in and bumped BOWEN SPECIAL.

S Brownbill (a) rider of BOWEN SPECIAL was found guilty of a charge of careless riding (AR 137(a)). The careless riding being that near the 900 metres he permitted his mount to shift in when not sufficiently clear of BUCKLERS HARD which resulted in BUCKLERS HARD being tightened for room and having to be eased. S Brownbill was suspended from riding in races for a period to expire at midnight on Saturday 29th September 2001 (2 racemeetings).

At the entrance to the straight UNCLE SCROOGE and BOWEN SPECIAL bumped.

Mr S Brown trainer of FINAL HURRAH (NZ) was fined $30 for presenting that gelding with blinkers when it is not approved to race in that gear (AR140(a)).

1st BOWEN SPECIAL 2nd FINAL HURRAH (NZ). 3rd UNCLE SCROOGE.

RACE THREE CLASS D HCP – 11OO M

Monsoon Baby jumped away awkwardly when the gates opened.

Shortly after the start HASTY RHYTHM knuckled.

1st BRONZED OSSIE. 2nd GOLDEN SUPREMACY. 3rd STORM CONTROL.

RACE FOUR CLASS 3 HCP – 12OO M

Stewards granted permission under NT LR 84 for Dual License holder S Brown to ride BUCK’S LAD for trainer D Park.

Shortly after the start MAGIC CITY which had a tendency to lay out had to be checked off the heels of JIM’S SHOUT which rolled in slightly.

Rounding the first turn PRINCELY MILL had a tendency to lay out and had to be eased off the hells of JAZMACASE.

Near the 500 metres MAGIC CITY was tightened for room by CROWN COUNSEL and then hung out when being eased.

Rounding the turn PRINCELY MILL was held up for a clear run behind JAZMACASE.

At the entrance to the straight PRINCELY MILL had to be checked when attempting a run between JAZMACASE and CASPER’S COMMAND both of which shifted slightly when weakening.

1st JIM’S SHOUT. 2nd GOLD BOSS. 3rd CROWN COUNSEL.

All winners were swabbed today.
