Mr S Brown trainer of GOLD BOSS was fined $30 for presenting that gelding with blinkers when it is not approved to race in that gear (AR140(a)).

On jumping away CHARLIE and BUCK’S LAD bumped.

RACE THREE CLASS D HCP – 12OO M

As L Schmidt was indisposed Stewards permitted D Bates to replace him as the rider of ROI ESSENCE.

Stewards questioned D Bates, rider of ROI ESSENCE which performed below expectations. D Bates stated that the gelding was intractable and was climbing badly down the back straight and rounding the turn. D Bates also reported that the gelding pulled up distressed. The clubs veterinary surgeon inspected ROI ESSENCE subsequent to the event and reported that the gelding had a breathing problem, which in his opinion could effect its race performance. Ms L Williams, trainer of ROI ESSENCE was advised that the gelding would have to trial satisfactorily and provide a veterinary certificate including an endoscopic examination before being allowed to start in a race.

RACE FOUR CLASS 6 HCP – 12OO M

As L Schmidt was indisposed Stewards permitted S Simon to replace him as the rider of PRINCELY MILL.

Mr K Mearns trainer of RICHLAND was fined $20 for using club colours.

Mr K Mearns trainer of RICHLAND was fined $30 for presenting that gelding without pacifiers when it is approved to race in that gear (AR140(a)).

On jumping away RICHLAND knuckled and jumped outwards.

RACE FIVE OPEN HCP – 15OO M

As L Schmidt was indisposed Stewards permitted S Brownbill (a) to replace him as the rider of BROOKLYN BULLET as there was no other suitable rider.

Trainer Mr D Bates was fined $50 for failing to supervise a child in the stable area in contravention of Committee Policy.

Ms D Waters was fined $50 for having a dog in the stable area, which was not under effective control as per the Committee Policy.
