RACE TWO CLASS 6 HCP – 1OOO M

Shortly after the start COPPERPLATE attempted to buck after being struck with the whip on a number of occassions.

Rounding the latter part of the home turn RING CYCLE had a tendency to lay out.

RACE FOUR CLASS 2 HCP – 15OO M

When the gates opened CABIN was slow to begin.

Stewards questioned S Brown, trainer/jockey of MONSOONS which performed poorly. S Brown stated that he expected the gelding to perform well today and that he could offer no explanation for it’s poor performance. The Club’s Veterinary surgeon inspected MONSOONS subsequent to the event and reported that he could find no abnormality with the gelding other than its heart rate was lower than he would have expected. A swab sample was taken from MONSOONS.

G Clarke inadvertently appeared in the racebook as the rider of EIRE SUPPLY when in fact L Schmidt was the rider.

Near the 950 metres ITAIPU was tightened for room slightly by BESHARRI.

Rounding the turn near the 600 metres REGENCY OF MARIS had a tendency to lay out.

During the event MAGIC CITY suffered an attack of bleeding

1st PRINCELY MILL. 2nd BRONZE CHEIRON. 3rd CHALIUM.

RACE NINE CLASS D HCP – 12OO M

Mr S Clarke, trainer of DEL AREE was fined $30 for presenting that gelding without it’s approved gear (AR140(a))

1st WICKED LOVE. 2nd STORM CONTROL. 3rd ROYAL FIZZ.
