RACE FIVE CLASS D HCP – 16OO M

When the gates opened LOCKMASTER was slow to jump away.

Near the 650 metres MR CARDIN (NZ) had to be eased off the heels of ERBOURNE (N Paine) which was racing erratically and shifted in. B Huppatz was notified that he must ensure he does his utmost to protect his fellow riders in future. Shortly after this ERBOURNE rolled out and inconvenienced MR CARDIN (NZ).

Near the 600 metres ROYAL FIZZ shifted in slightly and had to be eased off the heels of BELLOTTO BOY.

Near the 500 metres LATE WARRIOR and HIT AND HOPE came together.

D Bates, rider of HIT AND HOPE was questioned regarding that gelding’s poor performance. D Bates stated that the gelding was forced to race wide and when he asked for an effort it was unable to improve and then weakened in the straight. D Bates stated that he believed the gelding pulled up alright.

1st BELLOTTO BOY 2nd LATE WARRIOR 3rd GRANDWAY TREASURE

RACE SIX 2YO – 11OO M

When the gates opened TRACERY jumped away awkwardly and lost ground.

Rounding the turn and into the straight BLUE VENTURE had a tendency to lay out taking EDGE TO EDGE wide.

Near the 100 metres GLITTER BUG and TJILPI bumped when both horses shifted ground.

1st BLUE VENTURE 2nd EDGE TO EDGE 3rd TJILPI

RACE SEVEN CLASS 2 HCP – 12OO M

As B Smith was indisposed stewards permitted the following rider changes;

Race 7 No 10 JAYASHARI S Brownbill

Race 8 No 8 GROSVENOR LANE S Brownbill

Race 9 No 8 ASPEN STAR S Brownbill

Race 10 No 7 KALASHOW B Cornell

Ms M Boothby, trainer of ARCH HENRY was fined $30 for the late notification of a rider for that gelding (NT129).

On jumping away KOTARA was slow to begin.

Near the 900 metres PRATIES had to be eased off the heels of COMPASS BOY which eased after having crossed to the fence.

Near the 650 metres M Cullen, rider of RACING ACES dropped his whip.

Rounding the turn PRATIES had a tendency to lay out.

RACE EIGHT CLASS 6 HCP – 13OO M

As C Lever was feeling the effects of the heat, stewards permitted him to stand down as the rider of FRISK ME (NZ) and for L Schmidt to replace him as that gelding’s rider.

On jumping away FRISK ME (NZ) severely knuckled over. At the entrance to the straight FRISK ME (NZ) was disappointed for a clear run on the inside of LUST NO MORE.

RACE NINE OPEN HCP – 11OO M

C Lever was examined by the ambulance officers and passed fit to ride.

On jumping away ASPEN STAR (S Brownbill (a)) shifted in and tightened ORIENTAL TREASURE in onto GENERAL TONG. As a result ORIENTAL TREASURE was hampered and GENERAL TONG had to be checked. Stewards severely reprimanded S Brownbill (a) and notified him that in future he would be expected to make a greater effort to protect his fellow riders.

Near the 150 metres BEAU MASTER had to be eased momentarily due to ASPEN STAR shifting out under pressure.

1st MASINDOR 2nd SON OF GRACE 3rd GENERAL TONG

RACE TEN OPEN HCP – 16OO M

After being placed in the barriers HEAVEN DANCER broke through the back gates which necessitated it being reboxed. When the gates opened HEAVEN DANCER was slow into stride.

Shortly after the start BELLILE shifted out and took LORD DENTATA (NZ) outwards. As a result SCINTILATOR had to be eased as it was tightened between LORD DENTATA (NZ) and GARLANDTOWN MOON which shifted in.

Near the 150 metres GILDED STAR layed in onto KALSHOW.

1st GARLANDTOWN MOON 2nd BELLILE 3rd EL CARTERO

RACE ELEVEN OPEN HCP – 20OO M

From the 1600 to the 1400 MY TALLY overraced.

Pre race swabs were taken from GREY DESERT and MY TALLY.

1st YOUNG CHALLENGER 2nd GREY DESERT 3rd MY TALLY

All winners were swabbed today
