8 "Pemba" J. Patton N. Wilson Indisposed

Race 1 - RACERS MAIDEN PLATE - 1140 metres:

Near the 900 metres "Beni Hana" was eased to avoid the heels of "Kwun Tong Legend (GB)".

In the straight "Beni Hana" was held up for a run.

Near the 200 metres "Miss Mojo (NZ)" shifted out and inconvenienced "Crester".

Race 2 - MAIDEN PLATE - 1440 metres:

"Ruling Ranch" was slow to begin, and "Jungle Trail", after being bumped by "Dragon Star", shifted out and brushed "Break the Mould".

Race 3 - RACERS TABARET MAIDEN PLATE - 1755 metres:

Approaching the 900 metres "Armour" had to be checked when tightened for room by "Dragon Star", which shifted in slightly.

Race 4 - CARLTON DRAUGHT CLASS 2 HANDICAP - 1755 metres:

Approaching the 1500 metres "Yelgun Morn" checked when tightened for room between "The Admiral (NZ)", which had improved quickly on the inside before shifting out slightly, and "O'Beil", which shifted in after being taken in slightly by "Keeping Promises".

Near the 250 metres "Yelgun Morn" and "Clemenger (NZ)" were tightened for room between "Cashburn", which initially shifted out, and "O'Beil", which shifted in after being taken in slightly by "Keeping Promises".

Race 5 - IAN VIRTUE CLASS 3 HANDICAP - 1340 metres:

James Winks, rider of "Noralee Gold" which performed poorly, stated that when turning for home he believed something felt amiss with the gelding, and for this reason he eased it down. A veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormality.

Race 6 - PAKENHAM HANDICAP - 2260 metres:

On return to scale it was noted that "Brorama Star" had lost its off fore plate.

Race 7 - SPORT 927 CLASS 1 HANDICAP - 1340 metres:

Prior to the declaration of correct weight N. Callow, rider of "Teerex", second placegetter, viewed the Stewards' patrol videos, and decided to lodge an objection against "Waikopou Bay" being declared the winner on the grounds of alleged interference shortly after straightening. After the parties had viewed the Stewards' patrol videos and after hearing the evidence of the parties concerned the Stewards dismissed the objection.

It was established that shortly after straightening "Teerex" shifted out away from "Reason to Talk" which then also shifted out, which resulted in "Teereex" and "Waikopou Bay", which had also shifted in slightly, bumping,. "Teerex" was then tightened for room between "Waikopou Bay" and "Reason to Talk", which continued to shift out slightly.

"Banff" jumped away awkwardly.

Near the 200 metres "He can Dance" checked off the heels of "Ted's Eagle (NZ)" after being taken out by "Banff".

Passing the 200 metres "He can Dance", when taking a narrow run between "Banff" and "Ted's Eagle (NZ)", was then tightened for room due to both those horses shifting ground.

Race 8 - EAT WELL LIVE WELL CLASS 4 HANDICAP - 1140 metres:

"Jedi Knight" was slow to begin.

At the start "Snip a Dane" was tightened for room by "Taj Lotto", which shifted ground.

Near the 900 metres "Gateway Bid" was tightened for room between "Gamera" and "Orcaella", which both shifted ground.

SWAB SAMPLES were taken from "Sur Les Pointes", winner of Race 2; from "Arndell Park", winner of Race 3; from "Dinner's Ready", winner of Race 5; from "Brorama Star", winner of the Pakenham Handicap - Race 6, and from "Waikopou Bay:, winner of Race 7.
