On jumping away AGILE LAD and GARLANDTOWN MOON bumped. During the event AGILE LAD lost a hind plate.

Rounding the turn PRINCELY MILL had a tendancy to lay out.

When the gates opened CHRYSTAL SHINE jumped away awkwardly. Rounding the turn CHRYSTAL SHINE hung out and in so doing took TOMMY TEE wide on the track.

The clubs veterinary surgeon inspected FRAAGYLE LUCK subsequent to the event and reported that the mare was dehydrated and pulled up in a distressed state.

After being placed in the barriers KALASHOW got it’s leg caught on the side of the gates. As the gelding had been cast for some time, stewards ordered the withdrawal of KALASHOW at 4.48pm. Subsequent to the event stewards ordered all monies wagered on KALASHOW to be refunded and the following betting deductions. All monies wagered prior to the withdrawal of KALASHOW to be paid as follows- For the win, face value of the ticket less 31 cents in the dollar. For the place, face value of the ticket less 28 cents in the dollar.

Stewards questioned B Schmidt, rider of ZILLIONAIRE which performed below expectations. B Schmidt stated that ZILLIONAIRE did not travel well at any stage and racing down the back he attempted to get wider as he thought the gelding might travel better on the firmer ground but it did not improve. He further stated that he believed that ZILLIONAIRE raced better on firmer tracks.
