RACE 1: Ruby's on Bulli Beach Hcp 2yo Colts & Geldings Class D 1200m

The start was delayed when Shillinglee required a plate adjustment in the mounting enclosure. On jumping Gotti shifted out abruptly. Near the 200m Shillinglee shifted out abruptly under pressure and caused some inconvenience to Danebar.

RACE 2: Caesar's Hcp 2yo Fillies Class D 1200m

For some distance in the early stages Sky Lyric (M. Privato) hung in causing crowding to Devana, Lakeside Folly and Bulla Borghese. In this incident near the 1000m Lakeside Folly and Bulla Borghese had to be steadied. M. Privato was reprimanded and advised to make a greater effort to keep his mount straight. Bulla Borghese was badly held up for a run for some distance in the straight. Near the 600m Sky Lyric which was racing greenly became unbalanced. Lakeside Folly, which was following, was momentarily steadied and shifted out as a consequence. Near the 100m when Miss Natural gave ground quickly Regal Draw was badly checked and shifted out away from that horse's heels and in doing so caused crowding to Bulla Borghese and Lakeside Folly.

RACE 3: Sea Bream Café Plate Fillies & Mares Maiden (Div 1) 1200m

On jumping Spritzer and Kita's Vision were crowded for room between Princess Doopsy and Cool Caboul, both of which shifted ground. A short distance later Cool Caboul hung in and away from Hurricane Gold which resulted in Kita's Vision being checked. Cool Caboul raced greenly throughout proved difficult to ride in the straight.

RACE 4: Parkview Café Plate Fillies & Mares Maiden (Div 2) 1200m

Trainer Mr S. Hill was fined $50 for failing to declare rider (App) M. Howarth on Kwa Hereni by the prescribed time (LR35). On jumping Giselda was crowded between Roxbury Lass and Issues which began awkwardly, got its head up and shifted out.

RACE 5: Glasshouse Tavern Hcp 4yo's & Upward Class 1 1400m

On jumping Hail Stone was crowded between Melt The Guns and Alexander's Magic, both of which shifted ground. Great Idea was slow to begin. Alexander's Magic and Too Foxy were inclined to over-race in the middle stages. In the run to the winning post Hail Stone lay in.

RACE 6: Coca-Cola Amatil Cup Provincial 3yo Class 3 Plate 1400m

Tomali was slow to begin. A. Huke (Chicken Soup), which weakened over the final 100m, explained that the horse enjoyed a good run and initially responded well to his riding when placed under pressure in the straight, however in his opinion the horse failed to run out the 1400m. A post race veterinary inspection of Chicken Soup revealed no abnormality. Terry Jones (Essembee) said that he had been instructed to go forward on the gelding, which was racing in blinkers for the first time and due to this he added that Essembee over-raced for some distance in the early and middle stages. Trainer M. Conners (Essembee), representing Trainer C. Conners, was advised that he must notify the Stewards of any proposed change in riding tactics. J. Grisedale stated that Twilight Moon raced hard in the early and middle stages when racing to the inside of Essembee. Near the 600m Through raced greenly hung in and lost ground. Kiwi Desire (R. Saxton) which was following, shifted out away from that horse and in doing so crowded Monte Drift onto Roll Your Own. In the incident Monte Drift was steadied. R. Saxon was severely reprimanded.

RACE 7: Shellharbour Workers' Club Plate Entires & Geldings Maiden 1200m

Ardritz, Legs Ablaze and There's Dad were slow to begin. Nearly jumped awkwardly, got its head up, shifted out and crowded Make Mine Mac. Nearly raced greenly and got its head up on a number of occasions. Further, the gelding experienced difficulty obtaining clear running in the early part of the straight.

RACE 8: Kiama Leagues Club Plate Provincial Class 1 2000m

Search, Cuchulainn's Leap and Zumdinger were slow to begin. (App.) K. Shaw (Executive Class) was reprimanded for using the whip on a horse that was out of contention (AR137A(2)(b)).
