careless riding under AR137(a) in that leaving the 200m he permitted his mount to shift in
when not clear of Splendid Retreat, resulting in Splendid Retreat having to be checked. R.
Quinn's licence to ride in races was suspended for a period to commence on Sunday 3 March
and to expire on Monday 11 March on which day he may ride. C. Brown (Time Off) was reprimanded for permitting his
mount to shift out leaving the 200m resulting in Ripon By being taken out slightly and
This Manshood, which was giving ground, being checked between that runner and Splendid
Retreat, which had been taken in by Manntavani. When questioned regarding her riding of Strange around the
home turn and in the early stages of the straight, Ms L. Olsen stated that she was
instructed to take inside runs on the gelding rather than cover additional ground by
coming wide. She added that approaching and rounding the home turn she committed herself
to the inside of Manntavani in the hope of obtaining a run through the field, however,
when this did not eventuate she had to steady and then shift to the outside to obtain

restrained by its rider when the saddle commenced to shift near the 1200m, had to be
checked when Perfect Prince improved quickly to the outside of that runner and was
tightened by Bold Centaur, which in turn was taken in by Nomolos Gold (M. Usher). M. Usher
was reprimanded and advised that in similar circumstances he must ensure he leaves
