        Starway (NZ) and Prospect Hill (NZ). In the early stages of the race Our Starway (NZ)
        over-raced, and near the 1300 metres John's River when over-racing, was checked to avoid
        the heels of Transmit, which shifted in. Subsequent to the event the Club Veterinary Surgeon
        reported that Here For Honour was short in front. Race 2 - Watsonia RSL Maiden Plate (2) - 1600m Near the 1300 metres Zacobba (NZ) was tightened for room by
        Pearl Quest, which had been taken in slightly by Gold Chief (N. Rawiller). N. Rawiller was
        notified to exercise care when shifting ground in future. Near the 400 metres Le Mire (D. Taggart) shifted out and
        brushed Gold Chief out on to Mr. Zadopek, which resulted in both those horses being
        hampered. D. Taggart was notified to exercise more care when shifting ground in future. Subsequent to the event the Club Veterinary Surgeon
        reported that Stealthy had been galloped on, on both hind legs. Race 3 - International Trucks Maiden Plate - 1100m Passing the 800 metres Scaler was tightened for room
        between Romalong and Our Belle (NZ) (Maurice Thornley), which shifted in. Maurice Thornley
        was reprimanded for permitting his mount to shift in when not sufficiently clear, Race 4 - Noble Park Trucks Class 1 Handicap -
        1200m Kerrin McEvoy rider of Another Belt which performed below
        expectations, explained that the gelding never travelled throughout and in his opinion was
        not suited to the quick pace of the race today. Race 5 - W & P Truck & Machinery Sales
        Class 1 Handicap - 1900m  No report. Race 6 - Epping Plaza 4YO & Up Class 3
        Handicap - 2100m After being placed in its starting stall She's Hand Picked
        (NZ) became fractious, reared and temporarily cast. She's Hand Picked (NZ) was examined by
        the Club's Veterinary Surgeon who reported that the mare was unfit to start. Acting on
        this Stewards ordered the withdrawal of She's Hand Picked at 3.22 p.m. Subsequent to the
        event the Stewards ordered the following deductions to betting - All monies bet for a win
        and/or place and concession betting on She's Hand Picked (NZ) to be refunded. All
        successful bets on horses prior to time of withdrawal of She's Hand Picked (NZ) are
        subject to the following deductions in the dollar from the face value of the ticket - Win
        Bets - 8 cents, Place Bets - 8 cents, Winning Concession Bets - 8 cents, Double Bets - 8
        cents. All monies bet after the Stewards declaration of withdrawal to be paid at face
        value of ticket. Prior to the start It's On Again and Yuvaraj were examined
        by the Club Veterinary Surgeon and passed fit to run. Race 7 - Carlton Draught Kilmore Cup - 1600m Nash Rawiller rider of Mr. Tanzania, which performed
        poorly, stated that the gelding began to weaken from the 500 metres and felt amiss in its
        action. The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported no abnormality. Race 8 - Complete Transport Solutions Class 4
        Handicap - 1200m Approaching the 1000 metres Somebody Smiled had to be eased
        off the heels of Gamera (Michelle Payne), which shifted in. When easing Somebody Smiled
        shifted out and hampered Sudaam. Michelle Payne was reprimanded and notified to exercise
        far more care when shifting ground in future. Near the 150 metres Prince Quay (NZ) was disappointed for a
        run between Sudaam, which initially shifted in slightly and Comet Jet (D. Gauci), which
        shifted out. During the running of the race Somebody Smiled lost its off
        hind plate. Race 9 - Kilmore Trackside Tabaret F & M
        Classic - 1200m When parading in the mounting yard Serious Drink cast its
        off hind plate. On arrival at the barrier Serious Drink was examined by the Club's
        Veterinary Surgeon and Farrier, who stated that the mare had pricked its off hind and was
        unfit to start. Acting on this Stewards withdrew Serious Drink at 5.16 p.m. Subsequent to
        the event the Stewards ordered the following deductions to betting - All monies bet for a
        win and/or place and concession betting on Serious Drink to be refunded. All successful
        bets on horses prior to the time of withdrawal of Serious Drink are subject to the
        following deductions in the dollar from the face value of the ticket - Win Bets - 12
        cents, Place Bets - 11 cents, Winning Concession Bets - 12 cents, Doubles Bets - 12 cents.
        All monies bet after the Stewards declaration of withdrawal to be paid at face value of
        ticket. After being placed in its starting stall Just Devine became
        fractious. The mare was examined by the Club's Veterinary Surgeon and passed fit to start. Lady Wild jumped away awkwardly and was slow to begin, and
        then performed poorly throughout. D. Gauci rider of Lady Wild, stated that the mare never
        travelled well throughout the race and felt short in its action. The Club Veterinary
        Surgeon reported he could find no abnormalities. Race 10 - MacDonald Trucks SV 3YO Class 2 Handicap
        - 1200m After leaving the mounting yard Chasseur dislodged G. Eades
        its rider and then galloped over a circuit of the track. Stewards ordered the late
        scratching of Chasseur at 5.56 p.m. Subsequent to the event Stewards ordered the following
        alteration to betting - All monies bet for a win and/or place and concession betting on
        Chasseur to be refunded. All successful bets on horses prior to time of withdrawal of
        Chasseur are subject to the following deductions in the dollar from the face value of the
        ticket - Win Bets - 4 cents, Plate Bets - 5 cents, Winning Concession Bets - 4 cents,
        Doubles Bets - 4 cents. All monies bet after the Stewards declaration of withdrawal to be
        paid at face value of ticket. Near the 900 metres American Graffiti raced tightly between
        Seek The Silk and Fonome, which shifted in away from Uncle Willy, which had also shifted
        in slightly. Shortly after straightening Canchita, when racing tight on
        the inside of Future Analysis, was then checked to avoid the heels of Geiger Force, which
        was weakening wuickly. SWAB SAMPLES - Swab samples were taken from the following winners -
        Prosecution (NZ) (Race 2), Sequation (Race 4), Festivus (Race 5), Zero Drama (Race 7),
        Kaemess (Race 9), Pre-race blood samples were taken from seven runners today
        for post race analysis FINES -  Darren Weir trainer of Khartoum (Race 10) was fined $50 for
        late notification of M. Zahra as the rider of the gelding. |
