resulting in D. Taggart, the rider of the filly, almost being dislodged. Near the 400 metres, "Go Red Devil", which when
weakening, was tightened for room between "Shyster" and "Brother
Daniel" which shifted in slightly. Approaching the 100 metres, "Tertina" had to be
eased when tightened slightly between "Shyster" and "Franzeel (NZ)"
which shifted in. Race 2 - LARSEN'S SHOWCASE JEWELLERS MAIDEN
PLATE. 1100 Metres. "Learning Curve" was slow to begin. Shortly after the start, "Abbey Royale", which

HANDICAP. 2050 Metres. No report. Race 4 - RGM ACCOUNTANTS & ADVISORS OPEN
HANDICAP. 1600 Metres. Prior to correct weight being declared, R. Booth, rider of
"Bay Demus", third place-getter, requested to view the Stewards' patrol video
rounding the home turn and in the early part of the straight with a view to lodging an
objection. After viewing the film, R. Booth lodged an objection against "Ningbo
Warrior (USA)" being declared the second place-getter on the grounds of alleged
interference rounding the home turn. After hearing the evidence from all parties concerned
and after viewing the official videos, Stewards dismissed the objection. It was
established that rounding the home turn, "Bay Demus" which shifted out slightly,
had to be eased when tightened for room by "Ningbo Warrior (USA)" which shifted
in slightly. For some distance after passing the 600 metres,
"Arctic Boy (NZ)" was held up when unable to obtain a clear run. Rounding the home turn, "Arctic Boy (NZ)" had to

"La Rev" at 3.34 p.m. On jumping away, "Granniah" sprawled. Approaching the 600 metres, "Land Rule" was
tightened for room by "Vegas Charm" which was taken in slightly by

'Rort' which, initially, shifted in away from "Villa Deste" (G. Mathrick) and
was then taken in further by that gelding. As the Stewards did not attribute the cause of
the incident to any one rider, no action was taken other than to notify D. Taggart and G.
Mathrick to exercise far more care when shifting ground in similar circumstances. At the entrance to the straight, "Vegas Charm"
was hampered and taken out off its course by "Land Rule" (V. Duric) which
shifted out abruptly when improving. During the incident "Land Rule" knuckled.
        V. Duric was severely reprimanded and notified that he must ensure he is clear of other
