 RACE 1  TRANSAUSTRALIAN
        LIVESTOCK/SABIS 2YO COLTS AND GELDINGS MAIDEN PLATE - 1208 metres In the vicinity of the 900 metres POWER TO
        RULE (J. OConnor), which was racing greenly, shifted in and bumped EXALTED TIME (J.
        Maund) causing that gelding to become unbalanced for a short distance. In the vicinity of the 300 metres
        MATTYS DREAM (Darren Holland), which had laid out for a short distance, shifted in
        quickly and bumped BLUE HAZE (S. Price). Shortly after PROSPEROUS BID (NZ) (P. Gatt) laid
        in and hampered MATTYS DREAM.  In the vicinity of the 200 metres BLUE HAZE
        (S. Price), which was inclined to race greenly, shifted in quickly for a few strides. PROSPEROUS BID (NZ) (P. Gatt) showed a
        tendency to lay in and race greenly in the straight. Subsequent to the race an endoscopic
        examination of GO revealed that the gelding was suffering from an upper respiratory
        problem. Trainer, Mr. R. Paech, was advised that a Veterinary Certificate of Fitness would
        be required before he accepted for GO in any future races. Subsequent to the race jockey J.
        OConnor was examined by the Clubs Medical Officer who ruled him unfit to ride
        for the remainder of the day. RACE 2 - VISY BOARD STAKES / SABIS
        2YO FILLIES MAIDEN PLATE - 1208 metres S. Price replaced D. Carney as the
        rider of STARLET MISS. D. Carney was fined the sum of $100 for being doubly engaged on
        both STARLET MISS and HALOS PRINCESS. In the vicinity of the 300 metres
        HALOS PRINCESS (D. Carney) shifted in and bumped HONOUR THE STAR (R. Faehr), which
        shifted in and bumped SHOWGIRLS (Darren Holland), which also shifted in and bumped HAPPY
        RAJA (B. Vale). D. Carney was reminded of his obligations when placed in a similar
        situation in future. Subsequent to the race a veterinary
        examination of HAPPY RAJA revealed no visible abnormalities. Subsequent to the race a veterinary
        examination of HALOS PRINCESS revealed a laceration to the off fore heel. Subsequent to the race jockeys T. Creek and
        S. Cahill were examined by the Clubs Medical Officers who advised that both riders
        were unfit to ride for the remainder of the day. RACE 3 - CRYOVAC-SEALED AIR CORPORATION COLTS,
        GELDINGS AND ENTIRES MAIDEN PLATE - 1208 metres Trainer, Mr. P. Seater, was advised
        that a warning had been placed on BROCCOS SON in relation to its behaviour in the
        mounting yard prior to the event. There was a delay in the announcement of
        Correct Weight when B. Vale, rider of the fifth placegetter, ARRABIN (NZ), wished to view
        the Stewards official head-on patrol film over the concluding stages. After doing so, in
        conjunction with the Stewards, Correct Weight was declared. HEART STARTER (M. Hoppo) was slow to begin. In the vicinity of the 500 metres ROYAL
        BANNER (N. Tomizawa) shifted in and inconvenienced ARRABIN (NZ) (B. Vale). In the vicinity of the 300 metres GREG (J.
        Potter) laid in and hampered ROYAL BANNER (N. Tomizawa). In the vicinity of the 200 metres GREG (J.
        Potter) laid in slightly at the same time as HEART STARTER (M. Hoppo) shifted out and as a
        result ARRABIN (NZ) (B. Vale) was checked. Both J. Potter and M. Hoppo were reminded of
        their obligations when placed in a similar situation in future. Subsequent to the race a veterinary
        examination of ROYAL BANNER revealed that the gelding had returned with a laceration to
        the near fore pastern. RACE 4 - MURRAY BRIDGE HOTEL / SABIS THREE-YEAR-OLD
        CLASS 1 HANDICAP - 1408 metres In the vicinity of the 600 metres NORTH
        CONNECTION (J. Maund), which was racing greenly, shifted out at the same time as SWIFT
        VALLEY (S. Harrison) shifted in and as a result SPORTING JESTER (M. Neilson) was
        inconvenienced for a short distance. RACE 5 - T & R MURRAYLANDS PREMIUM HANDICAP -
        1408 metres In the vicinity of the 600 metres PARIS
        DUO (D. Tootell) rolled in momentarily and as a result RICH THEME (Darren Holland) had to
        be steadied for a few strides. RACE 6 - FOOD PROCESSING EQUIPMENT CLASS 3 HANDICAP
        - 1008 metres In the vicinity of the 700 metres LORD
        MILN (C. Lindop) rolled in and inconvenienced MAR DES BOY (B. Claridge), which
        shifted in and momentarily hampered SWAMP RAT (B. Grimston). Shortly after passing the finish line KOODA
        TIARA (D. Cleaver) shifted in at the same time as BROOKMAN (M. Neilson) shifted out onto
        BELLA SIGNORINA (S. Price). LORD MILN (C. Lindop) and PRINCE OF REVELRY (P. Gatt), which
        were between KOODA TIARA and BELLA SIGNORINA, were both severely hampered. D. Cleaver and
        M. Neilson were advised to take more care when placed in a similar situation in future. D. Cleaver, rider of KOODA TIARA, reported
        to Stewards that his saddle had slipped slightly in the vicinity of the 600 metres. Subsequent to the race the Clubs
        Veterinary Surgeon reported that SWAMP RAT had suffered a bi-lateral bleeding attack for
        the second time. Trainer, Mr. B. Cozamanis, was advised that SWAMP RAT was now banned from
        racing for life. RACE 7 - "METE CHASE MILE" CLASS 1 HANDICAP
        - 1608 metres DONATONI dislodged its rider, N. Tomizawa,
        en route to the barrier and galloped riderless for a short distance before being quickly
        recaptured. The Clubs Veterinary Surgeon inspected DONATONI prior to the start and
        passed it fit to take its place in the field. DANCERKOV (P. Gatt) was slow to begin. Approaching the 350 metres DEVARAJA DAAN
        (M. Hoppo) shifted in when insufficiently clear and made contact with NAOMI PREVAILS (NZ)
        (R. Faehr), causing that filly to contact the running rail, be severely checked and lose
        its position. M. Hoppo was found guilty under ARR 137(a) and was suspended from riding in
        races from midnight 3rd August and to expire at midnight 17th August
        2002; a period of six race meetings. RACE 8 - SANCHEM AUSTRALIA SABIS FILLIES AND MARES
        MAIDEN PLATE - 1208 metres BANDWAGON was a late scratching at 9.55
