failed to stretch out in the early stages of the event and tailed the field throughout. Racing to the 600 metres INGURAIN (K.
Louca) shifted in slightly, resulting in LUPEE LULU (R. Faehr), which was showing a
tendency to hang out, having to be steadied. Shortly after LUPEE LULU commenced to hang
out severely and was eased out of the event rounding the home turn. Approaching the winning post INGURAIN (K.
Louca) shifted in under pressure, requiring that rider to stop riding and straighten the
mare. Subsequent to the event a Veterinary
examination of BALTO revealed no visible abnormalities. Mr. B. Hatch, Trainer of BALTO,
was advised that a warning had been placed on the gelding and it must be more competitive
in future events, or action may be taken against it. A Veterinary examination of LUPEE LULU
subsequent to the event revealed the mare had minor swelling to its off fore fetlock. Mr.
        G. Dunn, Trainer of LUPEE LULU, was advised the mare was now suspended from racing for a

the event. A Veterinary examination of FREE MARKET revealed the gelding had sustained a
