        WATSONS MENSLAND SABIS MAIDEN PLATE: S. Price replaced C. Lever as the
        rider of DASHING PRINCE, owing to C. Lever remaining indisposed. B. Vale replaced D. Wilson as the rider of
        FEAR REIGN, owing to that rider being injured. The start of this race was delayed owing to
        ZETAS proving difficult to load. Mr. K. Drewitt, Trainer of ZETAS, was
        advised that a repetition of that geldings behaviour would lead to action being
        taken against it. HILL SEA (P. Gatt) was slow to jump. RACE 2  LINCOLN FRUIT & VEG
        HANDICAP: S. Price replaced C. Lever as the
        rider of ANTIQUE CHAIR. B. Vale replaced D. Wilson as the rider of
        DENHOLM. HENRYSEES GOLD (H. McKechnie) jumped
        away awkwardly. RACE 3  LINCOLN LAKES
        DEVELOPMENT COMPANY PTY LTD HANDICAP: S. Price replaced C. Lever as the rider of PRINCE LLAROO. W. Kerford replaced D. Wilson as the rider of FOLLOW THE
        STARS. PRINCE LLAROO (S. Price) was slow to jump. Subsequent to the race a Veterinary inspection of ANGEL
        DUST revealed that mare was tied up in its action. RACE 4  ECROCHEST DISTANCE CLASS 6 HANDICAP: J. OConnor replaced C. Lever as the
        rider of JETHRO. P. Gatt replaced D. Wilson as the rider of
        MIGHTY HAWK. TEHRIER (C. Buchiw) was slow to jump. JETHRO (J. OConnor) jumped away
        awkwardly. Inside the 100 metres MIGHTY HAWK (P. Gatt)
        was inclined to shift in under pressure and inconvenienced AROUND THE RING (B. Claridge). A routine swab sample was taken from MR.
        LOGICAL, winner of the race. RACE 5  PORT LINCOLN GOURMET
        MEATS CLASS 4 HANDICAP: L. Smith replaced D. Wilson as the
        rider of COOL ROSALIE. In the vicinity of the 300 metres TOVA (D.
        Tootell) shifted in, resulting in PLEASE ME (P. Gatt) being taken in and momentarily
        inconvenienced. Near the 100 metres ALARM BELLE (W.
        Kerford) shifted in abruptly onto the heels of TOVA (D. Tootell) and became unbalanced for
        a short distance. W. Kerford reported that mare may have reacted to him commencing to use
        the whip. A routine swab sample was taken from DELLA
        SALUTE. RACE 6  BOSTON BAKERY CLASS 4
        HANDICAP S. Price replaced C. Lever as the
        rider of STAR OF RUBITON. C. Lindop replaced D. Wilson as the rider
        of ZOOMERATOR. Approaching the 1200 metres PURAVALOUR (W.
        Kerford) was obliged to steady off the heels of BROOKSIDE BELLE (L. Smith), which shifted
        in. RACE 7  KINKAWOOKA PTY LTD
        CLASS 3 HANDICAP: S. Price replaced C. Lever as the
        rider of LINE OF GOLD. P. Gatt replaced D. Wilson as the rider of
        STARBLAZER. Near the 1000 metres SPARKYS HOPE (C.
        Buchiw) shifted in, tightening PERSIAN PERIL (Darren Holland) onto THRU THE TRAFFIC (J.
        Lorensini), which was taken in onto MOTTO (L. Smith), resulting in that gelding being
        tightened for galloping room and losing its position. C. Buchiw was severely reprimanded and
        advised in future to give riders on her inside the room to which they are entitled. Near the 350 metres LINE OF GOLD (S. Price)
        shifted in and inconvenienced PERSIAN PERIL (Darren Holland). When questioned regarding his riding of
        RANGER SAM in the vicinity of the 600 metres B. Claridge explained to Stewards that he had
        formed the opinion that he may have been getting too far out of his ground and as a result
        had commenced to ask the gelding to move forward. At that stage PARALINA (H. McKechnie)
        shifted out, resulting in RANGER SAM being forced wider on the track. B. Claridge further
        explained that shortly after entering the straight PARALINA again shifted out, resulting
        in RANGER SAM again being forced wider. Stewards advised B. Claridge they would report his
        explanation. RACE 8  WIBBERLEYS CLASS 1
        HANDICAP S. Price replaced D. Wilson as the rider of
        KAILEY FALCON. MINI MILL (B. Vale) was slow to jump. Near the 900 metres LUCKY RIPPER (C.
        Lindop) was obliged to steady off the heels of ALAZAM (Darren Holland), which had shifted
        in to avoid the heels of LET HER RIDE (B. Claridge). Near the 300 metres ALLAZAM (Darren
        Holland) became unbalanced for a short distance when having to steady off the heels of
        KAILEY FALCON (S. Price), which shifted in. Subsequent to the race Stewards questioned
        Mr. B. Cozamanis, Trainer of LADY RANSOM, into a report that the mare had been in season
        immediately following its previous start on the 25th of October. Mr. Cozamanis
        confirmed this report and was severely reprimanded by Stewards and advised of his
        obligations to report any matter which may affect the performance of a runner subsequent
        to a race. GENERAL: Stewards today concluded an inquiry
        adjourned from Thursday 25th October, into J. Lorensini returning to Scale
        overweight, after riding OUR COMET in Race 7 the Eyre Peninsular Radio C, G &
        E. Maiden Plate. After considering further evidence from Mr. R. Reid (Clerk of Scales),
        Stewards withdrew a charge against J. Lorensini. J. Lorensini was advised that Stewards
        would continue to monitor his riding weight, and that any further breaches in relation to
        ARR 145 would result in increased penalties. |
