| RACE 1:
        Become an STC Member Handicap 1900m: Making the first turn The Almighty One,
        Cloth Of Gold and Youhadyourwarning were slightly crowded for room when Rapida
        (C. Munce) shifted in. C. Munce was reprimanded and advised to ensure that he is two
        lengths clear when shifting ground. Approaching the 250m Youhadyourwarning had to
        be checked when tightened for room between Ausbred (D. Beasley), which shifted in
        slightly, and Cloth Of Gold, which, after being brushed by Youhadyourwarning,
        was then inclined to bore out. D. Beasley was advised to make more effort to keep his
        mounts straight in similar circumstances. RACE 2: De Bortoli Handicap 1200m: Academe was slow to begin. R. Quinn (Shags)
        was reprimanded for permitting his mount to shift in near the 1000m resulting in Schahriar
        having to be steadied. On the first turn Schahriar, which was inclined to race
        ungenerously, ran out across the heels of Academe. RACE 3: Matador Bull Bars Handicap
        1500m: Trainer Mr R. Simpson was fined $50 for the
        late declaration of a rider for Our Midnight Star (LR35). Trainer Mr P. O'Sullivan
        was fined $50 for presenting Kidd in the enclosure without blinkers (AR140A). Lady
        Pavlova shifted in at the start taking Our Midnight Star in and causing Grumpy
        to be hampered. The saddle on Sprout shifted resulting in its rider, App. G.
        Scimone, being inconvenienced and racing wide throughout the event. On straightening Kidd
        (C. Munce) shifted out abruptly inconveniencing Bias Bay. C. Munce was told to
        exercise more care. RACE 4: J & B Metropolitan
        Research Stakes 1200m: As L. Cassidy was to be overweight J. Innes
        was substituted as the rider of Miss Zambezi. L. Cassidy was fined $100 (AR120(b)).
        A post-race veterinary examination of Gentle Genius did not reveal any abnormality.
        A swab sample was taken. When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of Arrabeea
        L. Beasley stated that his mount was never travelling on the bit and when he commenced to
        improve approaching and rounding the home turn he was taken wider by La Rieuse. L.
        Beasley added that Arrabeea was disappointing in its failure to run on over the
        final 200m. He stated that in his view the filly would now be better suited over a longer
        journey. A veterinary examination revealed Arrabeea to be displaying a poor
        post-race recovery. Trainer Mr P. Perry undertook to report if there was anything amiss
        with Arrabeea in the days subsequent. An inquiry was opened into M. de Montfort's
        handling of 3rd placegetter, Gentle Genius. After taking evidence from
        M. de Montfort and trainer Mr A. Wildman the inquiry was adjourned to a date to be fixed. RACE 5: Manchester Unity Kingston
        Town Stakes 2000m: When questioned regarding the disappointing
        performance of Kreisler Mirage L. Beasley stated that his mount was inclined to
        race ungenerously and get its head up and was a beaten horse at the 600m. A post-race
        veterinary examination of Kreisler Mirage revealed no abnormalities. A swab sample
        was taken. Trainer Mr G. Rogerson undertook report the results of a full veterinary
        examination of Kreisler Mirage. RACE 6: Clipsal Gloaming Stakes
        1750m: Silver Baron was slow to begin. After
        receiving a bump from Full Limit, Industrial Fan shifted out across the
        heels of Courvoisier making the first turn. Approaching the 1000m Silk Veil
        became awkward on the heels of Silver Baron. At the entrance to the straight Silk
        Veil was held up on the heels of Silver Baron. For some distance passing the
        200m Evander was unable to improve when racing in restricted room between Resoundingly
        and Full Limit, which shifted out.  RACE 7: Rydges Parramatta Theo Marks
        Stakes 1300m: Restless began awkwardly. Crawl,
        which began awkwardly, shifted out and bumped Shogun Lodge. Belle Du Jour
        was held up for a run in the early part of the straight. Approaching the 200m Spinning
        Hill had to shift out away from the heels of Adamantly to obtain clear running.
        Passing the 200m Hire was held up when endeavouring to take a narrow run between Make
        Mine Magic and Altiero, and then passing the 100m Make Mine Magic
        shifted out taking Hire onto Altiero and Knickerbocker Kid. RACE 8: Sydney Night Racing
        Superfecta 1100m: Gold Class was slow to begin. Magic
        Feather began awkwardly. Rounding the home turn Gold Class was checked when
        endeavouring to take a run inside Win A Lode where there was insufficient room. Gold
        Class, which was then badly held up for a run, had to be checked off the heels of Jet
        Shoes passing the 200m. Making the home turn Exeliom was held up for a run and
        then at the 200m had to be severely checked when disappointed for a run between Call
        The Shot and Defier. Approaching the 100m Crete, after being taken in by
        Marwin Gold, was checked across the heels of that runner by Gold Class (G.
        Boss), which struck the heels of Jet Shoes and shifted out. G. Boss was reprimanded
        and advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances. The club's veterinary surgeon
        reported that Clay Shaker went down on its right off-hind bumper during the
        race.  SUMMARY: Fines: Race 3: trainer R. Simpson (Our Midnight Star) fined $50-late declaration
        of rider (LR35).
 Race 3: trainer P. O'Sullivan (Kidd) fined $50-present horse without blinkers
        (AR140A)
 Race 4: L. Cassidy (Miss Zambezi) fined $100-overweight (AR120(b))
 Reprimands: Race 1: C. Munce (Rapida)-shifting in.  Race 8: G. Boss (Gold Class)-shifting out.
