 RACE 1  FLEURIEU FOOD PRODUCERS /
        SABIS TWO-YEAR-OLD SPECIAL CONDITIONS HANDICAP  1200 metres BARTAS BOY (M. Neilson) jumped out at
        the start and as a result lost some ground. DANCING LASS (J. Maund) and HYPERSONIC (B.
        Vale) bumped at the start. HYPERSONIC (B. Vale) showed a tendency to
        lay in, in the early stages. Subsequent to the race a Veterinary
        examination of NEAT LAUREL revealed no visible abnormalities. RACE 2  CENTURY 21, NORMANVILLE
        MAIDEN PLATE  1200 metres MAKABELLE was scratched by
        Stewards, acting on Veterinary advice, at 1.17 p.m. Stewards ruled that all monies invested on
        MAKABELLE be refunded. Bets made on other runners prior to the withdrawal were to be paid
        on the face value of the ticket less:Bets for a WIN - 12 cents in the dollar, and
 Bets for a PLACE - 11 cents in the dollar.

 J. Holder, rider of the 2nd
        Placegetter EL ENTRADOR, lodged an objection against JESTONIA (S. Price) being declared
        the winner, on the grounds of alleged interference over the final 300 metres. After taking
        evidence from all parties, viewing the official video film and acting on their own
        observations, Stewards dismissed the objection. Near the 800 metres EL ENTRADOR (J. Holder)
        shifted in slightly and as a result TELITE (C. Lindop) had to be steadied for a few
        strides. In the vicinity of the 700 metres WITH
        ALACRITY (B. Vale) had to be steadied from the heels of NAFIR (NZ) (S. Cahill). In the vicinity of the 100 metres JESTONIA
        (S. Price), which was showing a tendency to lay out, brushed EL ENTRADOR (J. Holder). Approaching the finish line EL ENTRADOR (J.
        Holder) shifted in and brushed JESTONIA (S. Price).   After passing the finish post S. Price was
        dislodged from the winner JESTONIA, which then galloped riderless and broke through the
        outside perimeter fence of the course. JESTONIA was later recaptured by the Clerk of the
        Course and treated for superficial injuries. S. Price was attended by the St. John
        Personnel and ruled unfit to ride for the remainder of the day. Subsequent to the race a Veterinary
        inspection of NAFIR (NZ) revealed the gelding was galloped on the near hind. The Veterinary Surgeon reported ALCHEMY
        TIME returned to Scale with a laceration to the near hind pastern. RACE 3  VICTOR HARBOR BUSINESS
        DISTANCE MAIDEN PLATE  2050 metres HOSTLER (C. Bryant) jumped out at
        the start and bumped SUPERIOR MAN (J. Maund). TENNESSEE JOHN (M. Hoppo) showed a tendency
        to over-race in the middle stages when the pace slowed considerably. In the vicinity of the 1000 metres HOSTLER
        (C. Bryant) shifted out after being steadied from the heels of PHANTASMIC (P. Gatt), and
        as a result bumped ZIP THEA (J. Holder). RACE 4  LANGHORNE CREEK
        WINEMAKERS CLASS 2 HANDICAP  1200 metres J. Potter was questioned by the
        Stewards in relation to his ride on DECIDELA in this event. J. Potter advised the Stewards
        that he had been instructed to ride DECIDELA back in the field today as the filly had not
        shown early pace in her starts to date. He further added that, with the formation of the
        field in the early stages, he unfortunately settled back further in the field than he
        would have liked to have been. He further stated that in the vicinity of the 500 metres
        when he was looking to move forward, his only option was to take DECIDELA wide around the
        field on the home turn. Stewards advised J. Potter that his explanations would be noted. RACE 5  FOX CREEK WINES /
        FLEURIEU PENINSULA CUP  1600 metres In the vicinity of the 800 metres
        RONDAS GIRL (N. Tomizawa) shifted in slightly and then eased back, and as a result
        TWISTED DREAM (D. Carney) was taken in and had to be steadied momentarily. MARSCMER (J.
        Holder), which was racing behind TWISTED DREAM, shifted out quickly, when being checked,
        and as a result BLEVEEN (M. Neilson) contacted the heels of MARSCMER. In the incident
        BLEVEEN stumbled and as a result lost considerable ground. Although blame could not be
        attributed to any one rider, N. Tomizawa was advised to take more care when placed in a
        similar situation in future. Subsequent to the race a Veterinary
        examination of ANOTHER PRINTER revealed a wound to the inside near fore fetlock. The Veterinary Surgeon also reported
        BLEVEEN returned with a wound to the inside of the near fore cannon. RACE 6  BALLAST STONE ESTATE
        WINES CLASS 4 HANDICAP  1200 metres SHOCKS (M. Neilson) was held up for
        a clear run between the 500 and the 300 metres. N. Tomizawa replaced C. Bryant as the rider
        of FLAME BIRD. C. Bryant was fined $100 under ARR 120(b) for being overweight. RACE 7  CENTURY 21 FLEURIEU
        GROUP / HOME LOANS PLUS CLASS 1 HANDICAP  1350 metres PEKOE (M. Neilson) was extremely slow
        to begin and as a result lost considerable ground. M. Neilson was fined $50 under ARR 137(a)
        for Carelessness for dropping his whip in the vicinity of the 100 metres. GENERAL: Trainer Mr. J. Turner advised
        Stewards that WE DARE, which competed in Race 5, had tests taken 27th May which
