 RACE
        1: TAYASU TSUYOSHI AT KAMBULA HANDICAP HOBART, RED ASTAIRE and BITSKI were
        all subjected to Veterinary inspections prior to the start and passed fit to take their
        places in the field. A swab sample was taken from BITSKI, winner
        of the race. RACE 2: JEUNE AT LINDSAY PARK
        HANDICAP A swab sample was taken from WORK
        AND PLAY, winner of the race. UMADALE (C Buchiw) was slow to begin. ASIAN WARRIOR (L Smith) showed a tendency
        to lay out rounding the turn situated in the vicinity of the 1000 metres. Racing to the 200 metre mark WORK AND PLAY
        (J Bowditch) shifted in, resulting in RENANO BRIGHTIA (P Gatt) being taken in onto ZIP
        EXPULSION (D Dunn). In turn, that gelding shifted in and away from RENANO BRIGHTIA,
        resulting in UMADALE (C Buchiw), which had been racing on the inside of ZIP EXPULSION,
        being hampered. RACE 3: TESTA ROSSA HANDICAP A swab sample was taken from THE EX
        FILES, winner of the race. RACE 4: HAPPY GIGGLE AT LAKEWOOD
        HANDICAP A swab sample was taken from ZED
        FILES, winner of the race. Racing to the 1000 metres CUBITON (T Creek)
        shifted in, resulting in COVET COVE (D Dunn) being taken in on to STRIKING PLUME (S
        Price), resulting in that horse having to be eased. T Creek was reprimanded by Stewards
        and advised of his responsibilities in giving riders on his inside the room to which they
        are entitled. Racing inside the 1000 metres ADVANCING (B
        Vale), which had been racing ungenerously, slipped behind, resulting in that gelding
        shifting in abruptly onto MILITARY TUNE (Darren Holland), who in turn was taken in on to
        COVET COVE (D Dunn), resulting in that gelding being taken in on to STRIKING PLUME (S
        Price), resulting in that horse having to be eased. Stewards took no further action as
        they believed no one rider was responsible. In the vicinity of the 400 metres CLEAR
        OPTION (B Claridge), when being eased off the heels of SO LATE (C Buchiw), became
        unbalanced, shifted in, making contact with the running rail, resulting in that gelding
        becoming unbalanced for a short distance. In the vicinity of the 300 metres ADVANCING
        (B Vale), which had raced ungenerously throughout and shown a tendency to lay in, shifted
        in, resulting in COVET COVE (D Dunn) being inconvenienced. RACE 5: WILLOWGROVE STUD FLYING A swab sample was taken from
        MANETTI, winner of the race. In the vicinity of the 400 metres
        GABRIELS FIRE (P Gatt) laid in, resulting in that horse making contact with the
        running rail and becoming unbalanced for a short distance. PATAUDI was eased down and out of the race
        by its rider J Maund, who became concerned with the action of the gelding. A subsequent
        Veterinary inspection of PATAUDI revealed no visible abnormalities. A Veterinary inspection of PRIDE OF
        TARLTON, following the running of the race, revealed grazing to the off stifle. RACE 6: DEVARAJA AT OAKSIDE PARK
        HANDICAP A swab sample was taken from
        HIGHTARI, winner of the race. IRISH JANTEE (D Carney) jumped away
        awkwardly, resulting in that gelding being slow to begin. In the vicinity of the 300 metres HAND PASS
        (K Louca), which was showing a tendency to lay in, shifted in under riding, resulting in
        SEATTLE KEN (C Lindop), which had commenced to tire and lose its position, being
        inconvenienced. RACE 7: KELTRICE AT RANGAL PARK
        HANDICAP Correct weight was delayed in being
        semaphored for this event to allow Stewards to view the official head-on film of the
        start, which showed that TRIMAHA knuckled on jumping away, resulting in its rider J Holder
        being dislodged. As a result of that finding Stewards duly declared Correct Weight. A swab sample was taken from ON THE SNIP,
        winner of the race. PALING GAGAH was slow to begin. A Veterinary inspection of TRIMAHA
        following the running of the race revealed the gelding had suffered a minor injury to the
        near knee. RACE 8: DANETOP AT GLENRAE HANDICAP Correct weight was delayed in being
        semaphored for this event to allow S Price rider of 2nd Placegetter SUNDIATA to
        view the official head-on film in the straight. After doing so, in conjunction with the
        Stewards, Correct Weight was declared. A swab sample was taken from GEM BEACH,
        winner of the race. Racing inside the 200 metres GEM BEACH (C
        Lindop) shifted out under riding, resulting in SUNDIATA (S Price) being forced wider on
        the track for approximately 100 metres. C Lindop was advised of her obligations when her
        mounts commence to shift ground. Racing to the line COURT RULLAH (Darren
        Holland) shifted in, resulting in KING OF RUBITON (C Symons) being inconvenienced. |
