 RACE 1:
        CLIPSAL HANDICAP In the vicinity of the 1000 metres
        KING KEEPERS (D Carney) was inclined to get its head up and race ungenerously when being
        steadied off the heels of LOCHIES BOY (J Bowditch).  RUBY SAL suffered an injury to its off hind
        cannon during the event. A routine swab sample was taken from
        TALANTO, winner of the race. RACE 2: SCHWEPPES HANDICAP The start of this race was delayed
        several minutes owing to ARADINA, which was restless in the stalls, breaking through and
        cantering down the straight. After being recaptured ARADINA was returned to the enclosure
        and inspected by the Clubs Veterinary Surgeon who ruled ARADINA fit to race. After
        being returned to the start ARADINA was further inspected by the Clubs Veterinary
        Surgeon who ruled the mare was unfit to race. ARADINA was withdrawn by Stewards at
        1.20pm. All bets on ARADINA were declared off. Bets on other runners were reduced at the
        rate of 31 cents in the dollar on the face value of the ticket for the win and 21 cents in
        the dollar from the winnings only for the place. OZFLICKS, which broke through the barrier
        and was quickly restrained, was examined by the Clubs Veterinary Surgeon and ruled
        fit to start. Riders of the remaining runners were given
        the option to unload and walk their horses. No rider took this option. Mr J T Hall, trainer of ARADINA, was
        advised that a repetition of the mares behaviour would lead to action being taken
        against it. MYSTICAL SPIRIT (J Potter) jumped away
        awkwardly. In the vicinity of the 700 metres
        SHES POSH (J Bowditch) shifted in and brushed SEE THE SENSE (D Missen). Subsequent to the race SHES POSH was
        inspected by the Clubs Veterinary Surgeon who reported no visible abnormalities. A routine swab sample was taken from
        AGALIA, winner of the race. RACE 3: MALAYSIA AIRLINES HANDICAP The start of this race was delayed
        owing to LUSKINS PROUD proving difficult to load. Mr D Balfour, trainer of the
        gelding, was advised that a repetition of its behaviour would lead to action being taken
        against it. LUSKINS PROUD (D Azis) and DREAMS MAY
        COME (M Hoppo) jumped away awkwardly. Near the 1100 metres LUCKY DANCER (S Price)
        was obliged to steady off the heels of EDVOKIA (C Lindop), which shifted in. In being
        steadied LUCKY DANCER got its head up and shifted out, hampering DREAMS MAY COME (M
        Hoppo). C Lindop was reminded of her obligations when shifting ground. BETA FORTUNE (J Holder) was inclined to lay
        in under pressure over the concluding 200 metres. JIMMYS EDGE (J Nevin) was inclined to
        lay in, in the straight and proved difficult to ride. Subsequent to the race a Veterinary
        inspection of JIMMYS EDGE failed to reveal any visible abnormalities.  A routine swab sample was taken from
        LUSKINS PROUD, winner of the race. RACE 4: WWW.SATAB.COM.AU HANDICAP The start off this race was delayed
        owing to HERACLES being restless in the gates and becoming cast. HERACLES was inspected by
        the Clubs Veterinary Surgeon who ruled the gelding unfit to start. HERACLES was
        withdrawn by Stewards at 2.31pm, acting on that Veterinary advice. Mr J T Hall, trainer of
        HERACLES, was advised the gelding would now be suspended from racing until it could prove
        that it could be loaded and jump satisfactorily in an official trial before being accepted
        for a future event. All bets on HERACLES were declared off.
        Bets on other runners were reduced at the rate of 47 cents in the dollar on the face value
        of the ticket for the win and 25 cents in the dollar from the winnings only for the place. HELIUM, which was in the adjoining gate to
        HERACLES, was also inspected by the Clubs Veterinary Surgeon prior to the start and
        ruled fit to start. On jumping away HELIUM (W Kerford) shifted
        out abruptly and brushed SIMPLY MAGICAL (D Azis). Inside the 600 metres BLUESTONE VILLA (P
        Gatt), which was inclined to lay in, shifted in on several occasions and inconvenienced
        OXFORD REGENT (B Claridge). For a short distance, near the 200 metres,
        LOWENDALE ROAD (T Creek) was held up when racing behind HELIUM. LOWENDALE ROAD was inspected by the
        Clubs Veterinary Surgeon after the race, who reported the gelding was exhibiting a
        slower than usual respiratory rate. A routine swab sample was taken from
        HELIUM, winner of the race. RACE 5: MAGIC MILLIONS HANDICAP KULCURNA (S Price) was slow to
        jump. NORTHERN WAR (C Puls) jumped away awkwardly
        and shifted out, brushing SWILCAN BURN (W Kerford). In the vicinity of the 1100 metres YELLOW
        CARD (J Potter), which was inclined to lay in, away from runners on its outside, shifted
        in, tightening KURT (J Bowditch) onto the hind quarters of GEORGIA GLOAMING (S Camilleri).
         NOBLESSE lost its off fore plate during the
        event. Stewards opened an inquiry into Ms S
        Camilleris riding of GEORGIA GLOAMING over the concluding 400 metres of the event,
        in particular as to why she did not attempt a run inside CORKER BLUE (T Creek), and over
        the concluding stages inside LOLA (D Tootell). After taking brief evidence from Ms
        Camilleri the inquiry was adjourned until 3.00pm Monday 10 December 2001 to allow her
        Master, Mr Richard Jolly to be in attendance. A routine swab sample was taken from CORKER
        BLUE, winner of the race. RACE 6: CARLTON DRAUGHT HANDICAP Near the 1000 metres PRINCE NASEEM
        (H McKechnie) was obliged to steady off the heels of RUSTY DUSTY GREY (G Dorol), which
        rolled in. Approaching the winning post on the first
        occasion RUSTY DUSTY GREY (G Dorol) got its head up when tightened and lost its position
        when racing inside MIGHTY CONQUEST (B Vale), which was inclined to shift in and away from
        STAR GAMES (P Gatt), which after being initially taken in by THE RAMPAGER (J Bowditch)
        shifted in on its own accord. PRINCE NASEEM (H McKechnie) was inconvenienced in
        consequence. A routine swab sample was taken from FIBBA,
        winner of the race. RACE 7: WWW.SAJC.COM.AU HANDICAP KILORA QUEEN (M Hoppo) missed the
        start several lengths. DARK BANNER (C Buchiw) was slow to jump. In the vicinity of the 1400 metres DARK
        BANNER (C Buchiw) shifted in abruptly and made heavy contact with the inside rail for no
        apparent reason. ROKSHOW (W Kerford) over-raced in the early
        and middle stages of the race. In the vicinity of the 1100 metres KAKARU
        (NZ) J Nevin was eased out of the event. Subsequent to the race it was confirmed
        that KAKARU (NZ) had suffered a bilateral bleeding attack during the event. Mr A McEvoy
        the trainer of KAKARU (NZ) was advised that the gelding was now suspended from racing for
        a period of three months in accordance with ARR 53 (A). RIDE THE STORM (L Smith) was inclined to
        lay in under pressure in the straight and prove difficult to ride. MADE FOR REAL suffered a laceration to its
        hear hind cannon during the race. KILORA QUEEN suffered a laceration to the
        off hind fetlock during the event. A routine swab sample was taken from
        SCENICY, winner of the race. RACE 8: HONDA INTEGRA HANDICAP Racing inside the 400 metres
        METEORA (S Cahill) was obliged to steady off the heels of CANMARS (W Kerford) which
        shifted out. CANMARS suffered a laceration to its off
