 RACE
        1: ROBOT PRINTERS MAIDEN PLATE (Division 1) BOWOOD ROAD (L Smith) knuckled on
        jumping away. Shortly after the start ENDWAY (T Creek)
        lost its position when tightened by BANDWAGON (J Holder), which shifted out, and KEEPARA
        PRINCE (B Vale), which shifted in. In the vicinity of the 300 metres,
        BANDWAGON (J Holder) was disappointed when attempting a run inside BRIGHT N
        EARLY (R Price), which was inclined to lay in on to STARK (D Holland), which rolled out
        under pressure. Near the 100 metres BANDWAGON (J Holder)
        shifted in abruptly and inconvenienced STARK (D Holland). S Price the rider of DAINATUNE reported
        that his mount had travelled well until in the vicinity of the 500 metres. However, after
        placing the filly under pressure, he became concerned with DAINATUNEs action and
        eased it out of the race over the concluding 200 metres.  Subsequent to the race a Veterinary
        inspection of DAINATUNE revealed that filly was lame in the off foreleg. SIR MAVARICK lost its off hind plate during
        the race. A routine swab sample was taken from RUBIN
        JAMES, winner of the race. RACE 2: D.P. INK MAIDEN PLATE
        (Division 2) MEMPHIS RACER (B Claridge) jumped
        away awkwardly. CUDDLING (L Smith), which had been restless
        in the stalls, was inclined to rear on jumping away and shifted out hampering DUTHY STREET
        (G Dorol). MEMPHIS RACER (B Claridge) raced greenly in
        the early stages of the race, got its head up and became unbalanced when making the turn
        out of the back straight. Near the 500 metres QUINTILLA (S Price)
        laid in and brushed SPASMODIC (W Kerford) on several occasions. In the vicinity of the 100 metres PEARLY
        MAE (D Azis), in an attempt to obtain a run outside QUINTILLA (S. Price), shifted out onto
        MR. VANDAAM (J Holder) resulting in that gelding having to be checked and clipping the
        heels of PEARLY MAE. D Azis pleaded guilty to a charge of Careless Riding under ARR 137(a)
        and was suspended from riding in races for a period to commence at midnight on 24 December
        2001 and conclude at midnight on 1 January 2002; a period of three metropolitan meetings. CUDDLING lost its off hind plate during the
        race. STALLARD sustained an injury to its near
        fore tendon during the event. Mr R Jolly, trainer of that mare, was advised that a
        Veterinary Certificate of Fitness to Race would be required before accepting for a future
        event. A routine swab sample was taken from
        STALLARD, winner of the race. RACE 3: CARLTON DRAUGHT MAIDEN PLATE PRIMED FOR GLORY (J Holder) jumped
        away awkwardly. Racing to the 200 metres SIR TANJIL (J
        Lorensini) shifted out and inconvenienced COUPE DE BLU (J Bowditch). COUPE DE BLU was examined by the
        Clubs Veterinary Surgeon who reported that gelding had a stilted gait in both
        forelegs.  A routine swab sample was taken from SIR
        TANJIL, winner of the race. RACE 4: YELLOW CAB GROUP SABIS
        FILLIES CLASS 1 HANDICAP In the vicinity of the 900 metres
        COSANNE (D Holland), whilst being steadied off the heels of LOVELLE (J Maund), shifted in
        and tightened TOMINIA (L Smith), which checked itself resulting in L Smith becoming
        unbalanced for a short distance. A routine swab sample was taken from
        SACAGAWEA, winner of the race. RACE 5: GLIDEROL GARAGE DOORS CLASS 2
        HANDICAP GOLDEN ARCHES (G OLoughlin)
        was slow to jump. SHOWERS OF GOLD (T Creek) jumped away
        awkwardly. Racing to the 600 metres HOSTILE LAD (J
        Maund), which was inclined to race ungenerously, shifted in and away from MIGHTY CONQUEST
        (B Vale) and tightened GOLDEN ARCHES (G OLoughlin) taking that mare in onto SHOWERS
        OF GOLD (T Creek) resulting in SHOWERS OF GOLD and GOLDEN ARCHES making contact and being
        severely hampered. Near the 200 metres ROYAL BELL (J
        Bowditch), which was reluctant to improve into a run inside SALLY ROSE (B Claridge), was
        disappointed for that run and obliged to steady owing to SALLY ROSE shifting in under
        riding. B Claridge was reprimanded and advised that in future he would be required to give
        riders on his inside the room to which they are entitled. A routine swab sample was taken from SALLY
        ROSE, winner of the race. RACE 6: SIGNS INCORPORATED CLASS 3
        HANDICAP  The start of this race was delayed
        owing to ADDITION proving difficult to load. Mr S Adams, trainer of the gelding, was
        advised that a repetition of ADDITIONs behaviour might lead to action being taken
        against it. ADDITION (R Price) reared as the gates
        opened and lost several lengths. LA SUPREMO (M Hoppo) was slow to jump. Inside the 900 metres DANAS GIFT (NZ)
        (P Gatt) was obliged to steady when tightened by SWILCAN BURN (J Maund), which was taken
        in by DEQUELLO (P Marks). P Marks was severely reprimanded for shifting ground when
        insufficiently clear. In the vicinity of the 600 metres FLEET
        DAPPER (C Lindop) lost its position and contacted the running rail when tightened by KURT
        (J Bowditch), which had become unbalanced and laid in. Racing to the 400 metres KURT (J Bowditch)
        shifted out taking FLIRT WITH DANGER (S Price) out onto DANAS GIFT (NZ) (P Gatt). At
        the same time, CLIFTON CLASSIC (D Azis) laid in, resulting in DANAS GIFT (NZ)
        clipping the heels of KURT and being checked severely. DANAS GIFT (NZ) was eased out
        of the race as a result. No one rider was held responsible for the incident. Subsequent to the race a Veterinary
        Inspection of DANAS GIFT (NZ) revealed no visible abnormalities. KURT lost its near fore plate during the
        race. A routine swab sample was taken from KURT,
        winner of the race. RACE 7: TORO IRRIGATION COLTS,
        GELDINGS AND ENTIRES CLASS 1 HANDICAP On jumping away ZEDIMBI (J Holder)
        and ON THE NATCH (B Vale) brushed together. Near the 1200 metres ZEDIMBI (J Holder),
        which was inclined to lay in, shifted in, tightening BULL DOG TEDDY (J Bowditch) onto
        QUICK CLASS (J Maund), which was unbalanced. Shortly after the start LOCKMASTER (S
        Price) was obliged to steady to avoid the heels of KING KEEPERS (D Carney), which rolled
        in. In the vicinity of the 500 metres KING
        KEEPERS (D Carney) became unbalanced when being steadied off the heels of QUICK CLASS (J
        Maund). A routine swab sample was taken from
        ZEDIMBI, winner of the race. RACE 8: COMPUTER SITE SOLUTIONS SABIS
        THREE-YEAR-OLD MAIDEN PLATE The start of this race was delayed
        owing to ITS AN HONOUR (H McKechnie) and SAVAGE ATTACK (B Claridge) breaking through
        the stalls. Both horses were quickly restrained and returned to the start where they
        underwent a Veterinary Inspection and were ruled fit to start. After being loaded, WORDLY WAYS broke
        through the gates, riderless, and after being restrained by the Clerk of the Course was
        returned to the start. WORDLY WAYS was inspected by the Clubs Veterinary Surgeon and
        ruled fit to start. SEAVIEW ROAD (C Lindop) was slow to jump
        and shortly afterwards lost its position when tightened by RAISE A SMILE (L Smith), which
        shifted out. Subsequent to the race a Veterinary
        Inspection of WORLDY WAYS revealed that filly was suffering from heat stress. A routine swab sample was taken from
        CONTRIVED, winner of the race. RACE 9: HADEN MAINTENANCE CLASS 1
        HANDICAP Inside the 400 metres MYSTICAL
        SPIRIT (J Potter), which was inclined to race greenly and reluctant to improve into a run
        between ATHINOULA (G Dorol) and WILLY TELLS (NZ) (P Gatt), was inconvenienced when brushed
        by WILLY TELLS (NZ) and as a consequence, shifted out clipping the heels of ATHINOULA.
        Shortly afterwards, ATHINOULA and WILLY TELLS (NZ) brushed together. Near the 300 metres MAYFAIR MISTRESS (S
        Price) was disappointed when attempting to improve inside ROSEANNE (T Creek), which rolled
        in, and thereafter MAYFAIR MISTRESS was unable to obtain clear running. BELLA SIGNORINA suffered a puncture wound
        to the near fore cannon during the race. Subsequent to the race a Veterinary
        Inspection of ATHINOULA revealed that mare was indicating signs of respiratory distress. A routine swab sample was taken from WILLY
