Race 1 - BENDIGO BANK PREMIER PANELS MAIDEN PLATE - 2010M

S. Vella rider of PINDARRI'S FORTUNE, which had performed below expectations stated to the Stewards that the Gelding bounded in the air when the gates opened and then lost ground and for this reason rode PINDARRI'S FORTUNE back in the field. S. Vella further stated that in the middle stages of the race PINDARRI'S FORTUNE raced ungenerously and failed to respond to his riding in the straight. A subsequent Veterinary examination on PINDARRI'S FORTUNE revealed no abnormalities.

Also on jumping away TOUCH CRAZY was tightened for room between SHAKOTA which shifted out slightly and JOHN'S RIVER which shifted in. Shortly after this SHAKOTA shifted in and brushed STRELKA.

In the straight SHAKOTA hung in.

After passing 200m QUICK KNOCK had to be eased off the heels of SHAKOTA.

Race 2 -GRETA WEST STUD/ BERNIE REYNOLDS FINANCIAL PLANNING S V 2YO H'CAP 1000M:

The start of the race was delayed due to the ambulance being required in the float area.

Prior to the start EYES TELL dislodged it's rider E. Cassar. This resulted in EYES TELL having to be recaptured. EYES TELL was examined by the Club's Veterinary Surgeon and passed fit to run.

SHAGNY'S SHEILA which had been restless in the stall, was slow to begin.

Shortly after the start EDGETON attempted to buck for a short distance.

In the middle stages of the DEMUSWINNERS hung out.

Race 3 -MIRANDA WINES / PETER ARCHIBALD ELECTRICAL MAIDEN PL.(1) - 1400M:

Sue Naylor, trainer of JUGGERLY assured the Stewards that she had lodged B. Rawiller as the rider of the gelding in accordance with the rules.

Alan Collett trainer of GYN TRIST assured the Stewards that he had lodged M. Boyd as rider of the mare in accordance with the rules.

During the running of the race LUNCHBOX broke down.

Approaching the 900m GRAND TALE had to be eased to avoid the heels of LUNCH BOX.

Race 4 - JOHN LEROY ALL GREYS RACE CLASS 3 HANDICAP - 1600M

Approaching 1400m OBEAH MAN shifted out and brushed the hind quarters of SMYTZER'S POWER. As a result of this incident OBEAH MAN became unbalanced and lost ground.

Near 400m YO PICASSO had to be eased when tightened for room between SILVER BIRCH on the inside and LADY BABUSHKA which shifted in slightly.

Race 5 - N.E. UNIFORMS JUDD'S MENSWEAR MAIDEN PLATE (2) - 1400m:

Acting on a request from Quinton Scott, trainer of ROYAL PINE, that owing to unforseen circumstances he requested to scratch the gelding. Stewards acceded to his request and withdrew ROYAL PINE at 2.02pm.

Acting on a confirmed telephone call from Shane Fliedner that LA GREIG was lame and unfit to start. Stewards withdrew the filly at 10.20am. Shane Fliedner will submit a Veterinary Certificate in respect of the LA GREIG.

MUFFIN MCLAY was slow to begin.

In the middle and latter stages of the race GOLD BUG hung out. Danny Laws, Trainer of GOLD BUG was notified that before the gelding would be permitted to start again it must trial to the satisfaction of the Stewards.

Race 6 -NU FRUIT WANGARATTA ST. PATRICKS CUP - 2010M:

Acting on a request from Quinton Scott, trainer of LUCKY MO, that owing to unforseen circumstances he requested to scratch the gelding. Stewards acceded to his request and withdrew LUCKY MO at 2.02pm

Approaching the winning post the first time RELAHAMEY shifted in and away from HYBERNIAN PRINCE which resulted in RELAHAMEY having to be eased off the heels of KNUCKLES PIPPIN which shifted out slightly.

After passing 200m HYBERNIAN PRINCE had to be eased to avoid the heels of RELAHAMEY.

Race 7 - AUSTVIEW / WARBY LODGE MOTOR INN S.V. 3Y.O. MAIDEN PL. - 1180M:

On jumping away SENYS BROTHER was tightened for room between ALLESJUMENT which shifted out and PAST THE SKIES which shifted in slightly. As a result of this incident SENYS BROTHER became unbalanced and shifted out slightly and as a result PAST THE SKIES had to be severely hampered when tightened for room between that gelding and OUT LOOKING which also shifted ground at that stage.

Rounding the home corner FINAL FORWARD hung out and then raced greenly for the remainder of the race.

Race 8 - GATHERCOLE'S THE MEAT PEOPLE CLASS 3 HANDICAP - 1300

On jumping away RUNAWAY CLIP jumped away awkwardly.

Approaching the 900m BACKSTREET BOY had to be eased to avoid the heels of ANDRI MARIE.

Approaching the winning post BAYHULA had some difficulty in obtaining a clear run.

Race 9 - WANGARATTA RETRAVISION CLASS 1 HANDICAP - 1180M:

W. Treloar was examined by the Club's Doctor and passed fit to ride.

On jumping away CAFÉ RACER(NZ) shifted out abruptly and severely hampered DEBT FREE and CORE BLIMEY. As a result of this incident J. Tong, rider of CAFÉ RACER(NZ) became unbalanced.

In the middle stages of the race SIR DOLPHIN over-raced.

Near 300m DEBT FREE had to be eased off the heels of DUAL DANCER (E. Cassar) which shifted in under pressure. E. Cassar was reprimanded and notified that he must stop riding and straighten his mounts when in similar circumstances in the future.

After passing 300m DEBONAIR D'OR was hampered when tigthened for room by 1 which shifted in when being brushed by DOOLAM PRAYER.

Approaching 100m SHASMIN had some difficulty in obtaining a clear run.

In the straight CORE BLIMEY proved difficult to ride due to the gelding laying in.
