Race 2 - SUPER VOBIS TWO-YEARS-OLD MAIDEN PLATE - 1415 metres:

At the start "Grappa Boy" jumped out and inconvenienced "Crimson Rabbit".

M. Zahra, rider of "Dance of Dreams", first placegetter, which had improved from its previous start at Werribee on the 23rd May when also ridden by M. Zahra, who explained that the filly was much better suited today by the extra distance which enabled "Dance of Dreams" to settle and race balanced in the early and middle stages. M. Zahra stated that at Werribee on the 23rd May "Dance of Dreams", which had been caught wide, was not suited by the short distance of the race.

N. Callow, rider of "Grappa Boy", explained that he was instructed to lead on the gelding as it had raced greenly and was difficult to ride at its first start at Cranbourne on the 26th May. N. Callow further stated that he did not believe that it was in the gelding's best interest to be restrained in the early and middle stages of the race. N. Callow, rider of "Grappa Boy", was notified to ride all his mounts out to the end of the race.

Race 3 - CITY OF WYNDHAM MAIDEN PLATE - 1615 metres:

Prior to the start "Alunarmist" was examined by the Club's Veterinary Surgeon and passed fit to run.

Near the 650 metres "Miss President" was checked when tightened for room between "King Keltrice" and "Toldo (NZ)", which shifted out when being checked to avoid the heels of "Dynamic Danzer", which had shifted out.
