Riding Changes:

Race 1 - Laverton Maiden Plate 1100 Metres

Prior to correct weight being declared, Gavin Eades rider of 4^th placegetter Barraboy lodged an objection against Caracella being declared 2^nd placegetter and Lochinvale (David Taggart), being declared 3^rd placegetter. After hearing evidence from all parties concerned and viewing the patrol videos, Stewards upheld Gavin Eades objection against Caracella being declared 2^nd placegetter and dismissed his objection against Lochinvale being declared 3^rd placegetter. Stewards amended place numbers to The Great White, 1st placegetter, Lochinvale, 2^nd placegetter, Barraboy, 3^rd placegetter, Caracella, 4^th placegetter. It was established that rounding the home turn Barraboy was tightened for room between Lochinvale and Caracella which shifted out.

Shortly after the start, Lochinvale was tightened for room between Caracella & Rocky which shifted in. In the middle stages of the race, The Great White over raced, resulting in the gelding having to be checked off the heels of Caracella on a number of occasions.

Near the 600 metres Barraboy shifted out and brushed Lochinvale.

Race 2 - Super Vobis 3YO Maiden Plate 1000 Metres

After viewing the patrol videos prior to correct weight, Steven Baster rider of Barassassin then lodged an objection against Regal Love (N Rawiller) being declared 3^rd placegetter on the grounds of alleged interference over the concluding stages. After hearing evidence from all parties concerned and viewing patrol videos, the Stewards dismissed the objection. It was established that over the concluding stages Regal Love shifted out towards Barassassin which resulted in those horses racing tightly to the finish. During this incident, Barassassin, which had a tendency to lay out, reacted to Nash Rawiller's use of the whip.

Street Mate was slow to begin and Smooth Enchanter jumped awkwardly. Near the 600 metres, Regal Love shifted in and made contact with Rabnoolas, which unbalanced both horses.

Race 3 - Rosemount Estate Maiden Plate 1400 Metres

Sir Roley jumped awkwardly and was slow to begin. In the straight, Special Jeuney had difficulty in obtaining a run. Near the 1100 metres, Sir Roley was checked to avoid the heels of Mountain Shadow.

Race 4 - Werribee Plaza Tavern Class 2 Hcp 1400 Metres

After being placed in the starting stalls, Toughen Up broke through the starting gates before being quickly reined in and reloaded.

Harribela was slow to begin.

Rounding the home turn Clemenger was held up.

Race 5 - Tooheys New Open Hcp 1100 Metres

Rounding the home turn and in the straight Souplesse hung out.

In the straight Mamoloni had difficulty in obtaining a clear run.

Race 6 - Ria Property Group Class 5 Hcp 2000 Metres

Prior to correct weight being declared, Andrew Findlay rider of Cloud Dance, 4^th placegetter, viewed patrol videos with respect to lodging an objection. Near the 200 metres Kruger Park was tightened for room between Brush With Fame which shifted out slightly, and Firetaine (B Park) which laid in under pressure. B Park was notified to exercise care when shifting ground in similar circumstances in future. Passing the 200 metres, Cloud Dance raced tightly on the inside of Bewdy James which had shifted in under pressure.

Race 7 - Westpoint Ford Class 3 Hcp 1600 Metres

Near 1000 metres Noble Jon was checked when tightened for room by Magic Words which shifted in when being eased off the heels of Hurricane Rose. Magic Words then shifted out and inconvenienced Mr Cigarman.

Near the 600 metres Canonicity and Aussie Maid came together due to both horses shifting ground and Noble Jon which was following was then tightened for room by Hurricane Rose which shifted in away from Magic Words, which had also shifted.

Near the 500 metres Hurricane Rose was tightened for room by Magic Words which was taken in slightly by Canonicity.

Race 8 - Eliza Park Fillies & Mares Class 1 Hcp 1100 Metres

Beechwood Forest jumped away awkwardly.

Near the 250 metres Claret Damsel shifted out and hampered Golden Prodigy.

In the straight Westfield hung in.

FINES -

Andrew Payne, trainer of Kruger Park was fined $30 for using the Club's colours in Race 6.

SWAB SAMPLES -

Swab samples were taken from the following winners today: Race 2 - Rapidash, Race 5 - No Deposit, Race 6 - Bewdy James, Race 7 - Aussie Maid, Race 8 - Double Trap

Pre race blood samples were taken for post race analysis from six runners today.
