and middle stages. In the straight Wild Heart was inclined to lay in under
pressure. A post-race veterinary examination revealed Lupenta, which
weakened over the concluding stages, to be lame in the off-fore leg and displaying a poor

Hydromaster wider. Hydromaster pulled hard in the early and middle stages. An inquiry was opened into C. Brown being dislodged when
The Builder blundered badly near the 400m. In the absence of C. Brown, who was taken to
hospital for precautionary x-rays, the Stewards interviewed Mr N. McBurney, trainer of The
Builder, and the riders of the other 6 horses in the race. Whilst the inquiry was
adjourned until C. Brown was able to give evidence, Mr McBurney indicated that The Builder

out across the heels of Smash and blundered badly. In the incident Bullala was hampered. A post-race veterinary examination revealed Smash sustained
lacerations to the near-hind fetlock and coronet. Trainer Mr M. Lees was advised that a warning would be
placed on Lucida concerning its racing manners. Our World hung out throughout the event. Trainer Mr J.
Denham indicated that Our World would now be spelled. RACE 4: Silver Sharpe Handicap 1300m Dolce Veloce, which was fractious in its stall and

finished distanced, stated that his mount jumped awkwardly and could not pick up at any
stage of the race. He added that in his view the action of Reenact did not feel right and
he had contemplated retiring the horse at the 600m. A post-race veterinary examination of
Reenact revealed no abnormality. RACE 6: Liverpool City Cup 1200m After racing tight for some distance inside Sir Clive,

Park revealed no abnormality. A swab sample was taken. Trainer Mrs G. Waterhouse stated
that Phoenix Park had trialled well on two occasions leading into the run and could offer
no tangible explanation for its poor performance. Mrs Waterhouse undertook to report to
the Stewards the results of a full veterinary examination. The Stewards ruled that Phoenix
Park must trial to their satisfaction before its next race start. RACE 7: Surround Stakes 1400m M. de Montfort (Shovoff) struck his left foot on the

of Grand Juror. Ugachaka was held up for a run in the early part of the
straight. Approaching the 200m Fleecing and Barawin were checked when
disappointed for runs between Ancient Song and Shouq, which was taken in by Grand Juror. RACE 8: Fairfield Advance Handicap 1400m Mowerman reared when the gates were released and lost

tempo of the race had not particularly suited Borelli, nevertheless the gelding was
disappointing in its failure to finish the race off. Mrs G. Waterhouse undertook to report
